Not saying they're 'allowed to' just saying it happens to be that particular group people seem to be the ones that are giving this movie such huge praise. Same reason we got 3 transformers sequels and as far as we know we might get 3 more. Kinda hard to be fan of something and then support something that spits in the face of said fandom. That's contradicting oneself and questioning their fandom to begin with.

And being a casual fan or someone that just wants action for the sake if action isn't the same as me calling someone a half-wit. Don't put words in my mouth. Liking bad movies isn't a knock against ones intelligence. Some people just do.

And if anything the movie is fan-bashing and insulting. It's implying they can churn out whatever nonsense and we'll still eat up and make them millions. And whoops. Seems the 'half-wits' you speak of proved them right.

Well forgive me for wanting a good movie. Tmnt will never get the credit and respect the big guns do in the movies until someone that actually gives a damn stands up to the plate.

Agree 100% I'm 27 and have followed tmnt for 27 years in every version, and I liked the money. Sooooooo I guess that isn't possible to some ppl here.

I can tell you I like to looks of the turtles. As kid they were always bigger to me they were larger then life in every way possible that includes there size. I love there clothing i love how their personalities shine through in them. I love splinter in this version i love his combat prowess. I love seeing the turtle van in a movie even if it was a cameo. I love the action I loved the fight scenes. I love the actors of the turtles they just embody the turtles Every one of them. I love The guy who plays shredder the scene where he take out on of his foot was awesome creative and could not get enough of that. I love the lair in this movie there so much so it wish i saw more.

I love the snow chase scene it was perfect. I love the family comedy angle of the tone it was funny and entertaining

There is more i could go on. Really people who like this movie have there reasons and there are plenty of them who do like it. Just get over it

I agree about the shredder scene. Like I said it have me hopes I'd enjoy the movie.... And then the rest of the movie happened.

I can't recall any family comedy unless you count the elevator scene and the turtles adrenaline scene. There was barely any family bonding except 'splinter is extreme to punish his sons'

But why not? Just because it's an absurd premise doesn't mean you can't enjoy it, like we all do here I mean why be here otherwise, and want the best movie possible exploring it. It seems like a cop out to say that since the premise if ridiculous then you can expect the film makers to "phone it in" because it's just some wacky movie about "a bunch of Turtles and their pet rat."

Exactly. It's that line of thinking that made this movie so much money, and risks the sequels being just as bad (or worse) and make even more money.

I'm already predicting that just like this one was horrible, but hey, it has pizza and cowabunga so stfu, the sequel might be as bad or even worse but hey it has bebop and rocksteady so stfu.

I'll go ahead and agree with Anton, here. I'm 27, as well, and I've loved TMNT all my life. And I loved this movie, too.

Did the movie have plot issues? Absolutely. But we all understand that there was a massive patch job in the eleventh hour so, I don't see why we're still harping on it.

For me, it felt like being a kid again. The turtles' personalities, their banter, and the action - it all felt very much like the old cartoon. (Seriously, the subway fight, the downhill chase, meeting April on the roof. You can imagine those scenes in OT.) Not everyone would think that's most important for a great turtles movie, but I guess I do.

That doesn't make me a casual, or someone who doesn't remember his childhood. I'd rather have a turtles movie that's actually fun than (and I use this example a lot) a well-written Dark Knight that sacrifices the humor, fun and fantasy that I grew up with, in the name of being super cereal.

I feel like Batman and Robin just came out, and all the Burton fans are raging out, and there's that one Batman 66 fan saying, "What? This is everything I love."
