Did the box art change? If you search for the movie at Walmart the thumbnail image is different than what is shown when you go the page. I'm specifically talking about the Blu-ray DVD combo. This is what it looks like in the thumbnail....

http://www.amazon.com/Teenage-Mutant...ef=pd_cp_mov_3

This link is for the DVD version as well, so maybe this is what the DVD version will look like or maybe the boxart changed this and the combo? Also note that in the Walmart thumbnail image the box art has the Blu-ray DVD combo label across the top. The movie facebook page also has a promo image for pre-ordering which shows this new image of the boxart.

Is that the new cover for all of them? Or just at a particular store?

At the moment it looks like the left picture will be the standard DVD and Blu-ray cover (including the Blu-ray/DVD combo pack).
The right picture will be the standard cover for the 3D Blu-ray.

Great thread!

I pre-ordered the Bluray/DVD combo special through Amazon in order to get the Raphael statue, and I am pretty sure there was a limit stated - but that may have just been a marketing gimmick. I can wait to get my hands on it, though!

The DVD/Blu-ray is coming out in France on January 20 2015.
Looks like France is getting the same Steelbook as Australia, also includes the Bonus Disc!

Seems like the Australian version will have a green case, and the bonus disc is inluded.

And other than the hints about Target's bonus disc, I guess we still don't really have any idea what goodies the main disc itself is [hopefully] including? And more-so if the main goodies will be the same from all retailers. Call me slow, but with so little info I'm still trying to figure out who to buy it from...

Wonder how soon we'll see a commercial.

Well I just noticed on Amazon.com that the Raphael Gift Set went down to $69.99 so I threw my hat into the ring and pre-ordered it. I can give the 3-D Blu-ray as a gift for Christmas since I'm also going to get the Target version with Raph on the slipcover. That way I can have my Raph Blu-ray with extra Blu-ray disc and the exclusive Raph statue! Sweet deal.

Not to single you out, but I'm kind of curious, because there seems to be a lot of this happening.

You say this:

Film people: Yeah, I get it, no matter if the choices were good or bad you were working hard on it and got defensive. But wtf... No one owes you anything for making it. You're talking about people who care a lot about these characters and the franchise. That's like painting your elderly neighbor's house pink at your own choosing then bitching at her family for not liking it when they complain about the paint job. Can't screw with something important to people without repercussions. At least take it like a damn professional.
Then this:

What the hell? There are pages of us Slamming the hell out of the film, specifically saying that "they didn't care because Fans will buy littereally anything we throw at them"

and then we ...we....we prove them right?

SERIOUSLY! I don't get you people at all.

This is why it sucks. This is exactly why playmates doesn't care how crappy their toys are. This is Why Bay is building a second mansion with his own movie theater. WHY should they care? You're voting for the crap by buying the crap. You are making all complaints void!

Somebody explain this behavior to me please!

I get that some of you liked the movie, that I get. But If you thought is sucked do absolutely anything else with your cash, like ANYTHING AT ALL!

It's Christmas for you, not Platinum Dunes. They get nothing for being naughty.

Find a charity, a Toys for kids program, a foundation, please, find someone who needs that 20$, and do something good.

Can't speak for others, but I can explain my situation. I was dead set on only watching movie until it went to the discount theater (you know, the ones that you pay a $1.50 or so for a ticket, but when they get the film, it's already taken off from major theaters). In as few words as possible, I didn't like the movie (it had a couple good parts, so it was worth my $1.50). I was going to wait a year or two for the DVD to go to the $10-5 bin before putting it in my collection, buuuut... That Barnes and Noble exclusive poster is very tempting. The other exclusives don't interest me at all.

Why am I buying a movie I didn't like? Collection reasons and that cool Eastman poster. Just look at it! ::starry-eyed:: I don't mind paying $15 for it and the movie.

Yeah, I know, it sounds screwy. What happens when someone (or at least I) make an effort to find some things to like alongside the dislikes. (That largely being the Turtles themselves, despite it taking a long time to warm up at all to them.)

My seeing the movie or not came down to whether or not I'd get a free ticket. I did. In one try on a 20oz bottle, the only try I was even going to give it.

As for the DVD I am leaving that to a gift idea. If someone gets it for me or not that is up to them. Just like seeing it in the theater, it's purposely not my personal money that's being handed over. And if someone does get it for me, it probably will not be a pricy exclusive or anything like that, I have no pre-orders set, not that impressed with any, and who'd maybe buy it for me prob won't pre-order.

And even if it wasn't a gift, my mom - who saw it with me - was considering buying it anyhow... may as well be the resident Turtles fan who owns it.

Yeah, I'd kinda like to have it for the things I do like and maybe cut stuff we didn't get to see, while gladly voicing what I think should have been different in hopes that someone out there will have some kind of sense to take what fans are saying into consideration for the next. Yeah, I know someone will say they won't and chances are they're right, but a strong enough crowed can get things done, that's already been seen a little. Willing to give the next one a look, but if they don't learn from the first experience, well...

I wish we could just put these Turtles and their actors into someone else's hands.

Fair enough.
Wasn't trying to single you out specifically, it was just the easiest set of quotes to grab. Thanks for being cool.

I agree with being passive, I guess I just keep imagining the director and producer in that interview, smug as all hell, laughing about how important it was to see Donnie's face as he flipped the truck, or the Super Duper Shredder...or how important it was to have everything connected which is exactly the opposite of how it should have been. Made me want to vomit.

I really want them to know this wasn't an A+. it was more like a D-.

Yeah.... I'm speaking with my wallet and not buying this crap. Nothing personal against PD or Bay or whatever, I just didn't like the movie. The only things I got from the movie were the weapons and the 3DS game cause really... it played out like an all-original TMNT game just using the movie designs. But the movie itself.... no. Just no.
