The new cover looks very cool. I wonder if they'll be played more of an "anti hero" team instead of a straight up good team, and I'm sure they won't bring back the enviormental messages or anything. Love the grip that Slash has on Pete.

Im loving those Mutanimals covers. And I gotta admit, I was never a fan of Khun back when he was doing the ongoing, but damn his art is getting better and better as he progresses. He definitely come a long way since that mikey micro. And Bates... still awesome as ever.

It is indeed Ben's signature. Looks to be a great mini-series, can't wait for it to start

I'm wondering who the new mutant the solicit mentioned will be, if it'll be a new mutant for IDW or a re-imagining of one of the other original Mutanimals. As someone with limited knowledge of the Mutanimals, I have no idea what to expect

They use "new" so I assume it's a new character. It could very well be him, but I doubt it.

I hope it's not Leatherhead, personally, just 'cause most of this new team is unique to the original. Even if it is a pre-established mutant, like say Genghis Frog, I'd prefer them to not all be from Mighty Mutanimals. I like that the new group is a mix of old & new + Slash, who while a part of the MM series, was not an official member of the team.

I have mixed feelings on Kuhn. His turtles are bucktoothed Picasso monstrosities and that's reason enough for him not to be on the main book IMO. On the other hand he draws one of my favorite Karais and in bits like the first Slash encounter you can see his talent for the use of shadows and indicating motion. His work on Utrom Empire was pretty fun too. But sometimes the sketchy look of a lot of his art gets on my nerves. I'm curious what Mutanimals is going to look like.

I won't be surprised if we get Leatherhead... And I won't be surprised if we don't. He'll show up eventually. Is that supposed to be Hob on the right side of Kuhn's cover?
