This is seriously annoying. Ep still isn't up anyplace. I can't use iTunes, I refuse to pay for Hulu Plus (as I already have a Netflix subscription), I can't use Nickelodeon's site because you need a cable service provider or whatever that nonsense is, and Amazon still only has up to ep 6.

No love for those of us who can only watch it online.

It sort of pretty much was, but the backs of the cards were different.

That's basically the only thing different about it.

Scientist testing the psychic ability of girl he likes with cards with images on them, she gets them wrong.

GOD I love this show. It's catering to me in ways I never could have imaged.

Feels good man.

Jeeze, Mikey, way to be a jinx!

I really, really liked this episode, and it's got to be one of my favorites in the series. It's probably one of the ones that's made me laugh the hardest- poor Donnie's face when April told him she was picturing a worm. I'll never be able to hear about turducken's again without snickering!

Leo's knee suddenly healing kind of bugged me as well, but other than the quickness with which it happened (which I supposed they had to do if they didn't want to address it in the Spirit Quest episode), but the psychological aspect makes a lot of sense. Leo did say later that he wasn't going to let pain stop him, which implies that he was still feeling some physical wackiness in his knee. The mental frustration that appeared during the training session had probably been building for a while, and finally just bottled over. Leo has doubts about his leadership ability even when he's not injured, so that was definitely in character for him. He knee may be something that always bothers him a little bit, but he's probably not going to think about it so much.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this is the first episode where we've seen Leo actually stab something that wasn't a robot. That, and the obviously human skeletons in the chimera's nest added a lot to the show for me. I love the series to death, but it's nice to have an episode where stuff like that wasn't coddled as much as it had been.

This another episode in Northampton, but this was a good one. Leo started to have doubts of being leader of the group and thinks that his knee will never heal. But April encouraged him to be strong. So both of them went to a search for the others and suddenly Leo doesn't feel pain on his knee. I like that he and April have a closer interaction. When they ride the chimera, it remain me of the strange creatures of Avatar.

I hope they returned to New York soon.

Cool

The episode had good action, I like the way April was encouraging Leo to rescue the others. Still trying to get past Leo's voice. I like the classic audio system that Donnie used for his psychic device.

Okay, finally got to see the ep thanks to a couple of you here. Thanks. ^_^

I really liked this episode and, once again, we see April in a situation where her psychic powers go haywire because of something connected to the Kraang. We still, to my knowledge, have only one episode where April was in control of her power with something non-Kraang related and that was the Dream Beaver ep and even then, still felt like she was using Splinter's teachings to try concentrating and focusing while trying to connect with the four. I guess this is why I don't have a problem, so much, with her power. Seems it's always directly or indirectly linked with something Kraang-ish or Kraang related. So I ask, WHY do people get annoyed over her powers when there's clearly a pattern?

Anywho, liked the Ghostbusters reference with the cards. Oh and I loved how Mikey was going on about knowing of a creature similar to the Chimera in mythology but couldn't come up with a name and called it Turducken. I also liked Mikey's random balloon comment...so yep, guess that's alluding to the fact that they'll be doing something with the Turtle Blimp soon.

I'm glad that they finally went back to Leo's injury and I'm so not surprised that he was still having trouble with it. IMO, this is being portrayed very realistically. It's easy to physically heal, but the mind can be very strong. It's not as easy to mentally heal from a traumatic experience. Not comparable, but with my hospital visit, I was still highly paranoid after my release. Knowing I could've died given how serious my condition was still haunts me. It took a while to get over that. Same after the earthquake/tsunami incident. I was suffering from PTSD after that without realizing it. Even when I returned to the US, I was still showing signs of it. Logically I knew I was safe, but the irrational side of my mind didn't see it that way,if it makes sense.

Okay, enough of that. Other things I liked...oh yeah, everyone's interactions. I like how Raph and Casey were worried about Leo and how Mikey was bugging Donnie (typical siblings, eh?), and Leo and April's interactions were nice and like how she tried to eat him. I also like how April got Leo to try. He still has to mentally fight and I wonder if this'll apply in his spirit quest journey.

Oh! I loved how Raph was getting on the other three for not having their grappling hooks and Raph's pointing out that they're mutants and that it should be expected that others'll show up. Don't know about you guys, but that felt like something that could've been used in the OT. I could see OT Raph saying something like that for some reason...then again, quite a few things 2k12 Raph says (as well as this Donnie when in a sarcastic mood), I could see being delivered in an OT sense. lol

Welp, not sure what else I can say, but if I were to rank the episodes, it would be...

Chimera ep
Dream Beaver ep
Punk Frog ep
A Foot too Big (this ep still makes me laugh because of The Finger)
Mom-Thing
Within the Woods
Demon Car

I don't mind these eps and I still don't consider eps like the "Mom-thing" one as fillerf or the Car Demon ep, to an extent...but I still feel if all of these eps would've been aired together without the breaks, it wouldn't feel that way or as frustrating.

It's just like, imo, the Chimera Ant Arc for the Hunter x Hunter manga. I really like this series, but the manga-ka always takes long hiatuses. It's gotten to the point where fans call the series Hiatux x Hiatus. That arc felt like it dragged on and deemed by some people as their least favorite arc of the series because it went on for so long, but reading it through with all the chapters complete, it's not bad at all. I know by doing this, I didn't feel frustrated with it like I did when I was originally reading it with the hiatuses. He's in a hiatus currently. Nothing since August, despite having just come out of a hiatus June of last year. So he put out something from June - early August. Hiatus. Before June, he hadn't put out anything since 2012. He's lucky I'm a loyal fan and want to know how the story ends or else I wouldn't bother. ><

Ok episode.

I was expecting a Ghostbusters reference too but was it really a reference? I thought the cards would have shapes and wavy lines. Then I would have considered it a reference.

They had animals to tie in with the monster and April's visions.

How is that not a reference?

& the thing on her dome was a nod to the colander on The Keymasters head, too. I mean, really, it could be no clearer. What do you want, someone to say "Who ya gonna call?"

Gargoyles? That was one of my favorite childhood series.

Yeah, I agree. Definitely hoping we'll see more of Greg's writing in this series.

He could have decided to go the easy way with a mutant and some action and call it a day, but instead he focused on some great character interaction and development, with some action added into the mix as a bonus. And I loved it.

I didn't find this episode particularly special by any means but I did enjoy the references in it. Ghostbusters, the mention of Talbot, the nod to the third flick ("If we're not back in *measurement of time*, we're turtle soup!", & there may have been others that I can't recall. & it was cool to see Dr. Cluckingstein return. Hope it sticks around.

Not a bad episode at all. Good to see Leo back on his feet!

I liked that they had some bonding between Raph and Casey/Leo. Its good to see a stronger friendship there.

I was also pleased that Donnie apologises to April at the end. They could easily have left that out completely, but its a nice touch I thought.

In regards the worm head joke - Earthworm Jim reference?

I think this was an important episode in that is the first step in moving the story along.

The entire reason they have been hiding out is to let Leo heal and it seemed every episode he had a setback. The injuries he received in that fight with Shredder were psychological along with the physical. I think he was concentrating on his knee so much it impeded the healing process. I'm not too bothered by the 'quick' heal in the forest. I think that scene demonstrated that the physical body was good but Leo had to get over the mental aspect of his injury. He was concentrating on April's condition and he suddenly realized he was OK. They can now move on and get back to NYC.

I think this episode is important for April as well. It shows how much her psychic abilities have developed since I think it is going to play a key role in how they defeat the Kraang.

A good 'mutant' episode. My favorite after the Frogs.

Just noticed on 2nd viewing, Dr. Cluckingsworth chuckled and face-palmed (face-winged?) when April guessed the picture of Donnie as a worm

This needs to be a thing!
