When April does not need the turtles for a rescue.

Since this is April, there are going to be some odd looking screen caps for some rescues.

I am not counting the times April save the day, like when she pull the battery on the Alien toy before it destroy the world. Or the time she unplugged the computer Shredder highjack. Mostly she is in trouble, and needs to be rescue. But the Turtles are not around. Since I am re watching the whole series, So I got though the first 3 seasons and for the FIRST time, April gets out of a jam with out Turtle help.

In The Big Break In, She is about to be run over by the Technodrome. Trap in her news van, and guess what? The Turtles are too busy saving the world to save her. After waiting for about ten mins(The Technodrome does kinda move pretty slow) April notice the Turtles wont be there, so she Butt bumps the door down. And she saves herself. Now I was watching this and thinking, wow, She did not relied on the turtles. I am doing a self rescue, So that is one time so far in the series, that April saves her self.

As an episode that aired on the edge of the cusp of the 1990s, that actually sounds like a bit of an analogy for social progress within entertainment media.

Number 2, I watch the start of season 4 on vol 6, and went into the Europe episodes since they take place during season 4. (I loved the team up with Holmes, amazing).

Well Ring of fire. I might add a screen shot later for it,

Shredder ties up April and Irma to a giant dish that will burn them alive with the power of sun, and burn down I think the turtles are in Dublin? Not sure. She uses SOS with the sun lights to call the turtles. They come to the rescue, but there too busy with Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady. So April uses the sun's rays to burn the ropes and free her and Irma.

Turtles still defeat Shredder and save the day, but April uses her quick thinking to once again get her and Irma out of a jam lol.

OT April wasn't near as useless as most folks assume in the show. Even the Nostalgia Critic gave her a bit of credit in that regard.

I attribute most of April's charm to Renae Jacobs's delivery. She really had command and respect for her character.

April has saved the Turtles on a few different occasions.

April had a more proactive role in the Red Sky seasons in episodes like "Cry HAVOC" and "A Turtle in Time", though there were still many times when she was a damsel in distress. She did manage to send Rocksteady flying in "The Gang's All Here", though.

Speaking of the Red Sky era, I would have loved to have learned more about April's apparently historic and heroic role in earth's future alluded to in "Enter Krakus." The episode itself was a bit too Terminator-esque to be original, but the fact that April ended up being key to the history of the world was quite intriguing. At some point April saves the life of Krakus's father, which would have been cool to see on screen.

I agree. Krakus could've been used again in seasons nine and ten instead of Landor and Merrick.

That episode probably should count though since while April was recaptured after her first escape, she managed to escape again a second time towards the end of the episode. Admittedly the turtles do show up in the middle of her second escape, but they don't do anything but watch while she (successfully) fights both Rocksteady and Bebop. Thus for all intents and purposes she successfully escaped on her own there.

Yeah, April made her escape just in time. The turtles never would have made it in time to prevent Shredder from taking her away in the module to the Technodrome, which the Turtles wouldn't have been able to follow. Perhaps she realized the stakes of the situation and acted accordingly, similarly to her moment of self-reliance in The Big Break In.

I cant believe I forgot that, she did take down Rocksteady and Bebop, I just assume since there turtles were there, she was saved, but no, broke free, took down the baddies and I suppose in a way saved the day. The Turtles pretty much did a lot of running around, and hardly any fighting Shredder that is.

That's it, that's going on the list, when I get back to the OT series, right now I am on Shredder's mom. I had a break from the series, but I get back to it soon.

To add to that, not only did she not need the Turtles for a rescue at times. In fact she rescued the OT Turtles or their allies (the Neutrinos, Splinter, etc.) or "saved the day" at times throughout the course of the series, even as early as the 2nd season with "The Incredible Shrinking Turtles" and "Teenagers From Dimension X", and "The Mean Machines" and Season 3's "Invasion of the Turtle Snatchers".

Indeed! April was a great friend to the Turtles. Also, when Kevin and I did a fan commentary with Francis Moss, he loved reminiscing about those plots where April (literally) pulled the plug on the villain's schemes. She always seemed to have great intuition about where the vital power switch was located.

The iconic OT April is the best, followed by Megan Fox.

You mean the Nick April and her freaky powers? The freaky powers are pretty much underplayed.
