I dunna, they've released some figures (Slash and Cockroach Terminator and maybe some others...*shrug*) with better paint.

I do agree with the HSH getting better character variety than the main line....seems off.

just picked up some tonight after getting off my shift. they could be worse. the dropping heads don't have moveable feet but i'm ok with that. and yeah stock fly coulda used more paint in the face.

My only issue with these vehicles is that the bodies are completely wrong heightwise, Raph and Leo use different Donatello bodies and it messes with scaling.

That "these toys are for kids, they don't care about paint apps" excuse is pretty lame, we all know a good handful of kids and idiots are gonna try and paint the hand wraps with white-out and it's gonna look awful.

Newt looks surprisingly good, at least. I realize there are a lot of unpainted details, but it's better than the average job that series gets.

Picked up Turflytle Mikey! I'm actually digging this figure a lot. The only thing that bugs me is that his mask keeps falling off.

The paint should look better on a $9 dollar figure, like atleast adding a lighter brown and painting the middle spike.

Yeah, if they're gonna make any improvements, i'd expect them to paint that obvious spike in the middle, give elbow and/or knee joints first before going into detail with the face paint.
