That she does!

I can't help but hope that maybe she's a creative consultant for Megan Fox's performance.

I was going to say - for a brief second, I considered relaxing my "no way in hell am I sitting through this" stance just to watch Judith out-shine Megan Fox's "acting".

But then I realized it would just depress me.

Seriously though - Judith f*cking repreSENTS, yo. She could eat that little plastic twig Fox for breakfast, and she's freaking gorgeous. They should have re-cast her as April in the first place - I don't see why we can't have an older April. They're so intent on changing things up in this movie series anyway - but noooo, gotta bank on FHM-style sex appeal so the Bayfans will fork out money to pop a chubster.

She looks pretty old now, how old is she? I realize this is literally 25 years after the first TMNT movie...

Imagine a scene of the Turtles watching a news broadcast with April in it, And then seeing her interviewing Judith Hoag's character, And then Mikey is like. "Am I seeing double? Which ones April?"

She's only 46? Surprising, I thought she was in her late 50's by the pictures.

It would have been so awesome had they brought her in as April, labeled the Turtles as adults (while leaving exact act unknown and up to interpretation), and just made it out like it was many years later after the original films.

I wonder if having the original April there is a little intimidating for Fox. (Wonder if Fox has the humility to be at least slightly intimidated.)

She's 46?? Wow, she was rather young in the original film then, more than I'd have thought.

Yea she was 20-21 when she filmed the original movie I think. She looks even better with age and I never was a fan of the big hair she had in first movie although I realize it was still the style at the time.

Not to jinx things, but this movie keeps looking better and better. I really hope it improves over the first one, it has so much potential to be better.

It wouldn't be hard to improve on the 2014 movie but that's a far cry from being actually good.

Still even if it somehow pulled it off I think it would take some doing for the previous movie not to be the elephant in the room. These are still going to be the turtles that learned ninjutsu from a book.

And a rat mimicking his human to be a ninja master isn't any less dumb?

That as least has canon to back it up.

Canon doesn't necessarily means it's good either. OT, 2k12 and IDW origin works better in comparison imo.

But yeah back to Judith.

Yes...relatively speaking it is.

The movie origin also robs Splinter of any connection with Yoshi and thus any personal connection the characters have with their primary villain.

That connection could be explained in the sequel perhaps. Much like the ooze was explored more in Secret of the Ooze.

I hope they go the reincarnation route like in IDW. I tend to have that at the back of my kind ever since I saw that "April had pet turtles in a lab" scene in the movie. Hmm how similar...interesting.

I still wish they'd have just made Yoshi a guy working in the lab (who is also a ninjutsu expert), is the one that burned the place down, and became Splinter... it would have been so simple. And at least gets those needed ties and rivalry, if in a different way and reason.

But no... lab animals and book because less creative is better.
