Yeah, probably.

As for the other one, well yeah that's a mistake but it's not like the writers hadn't made mistakes before. Remember when how Kirby said that he got his hippy van from his "hipster days" but that would implied when he had April, he was already in his 40's but he doesn't look a day over fifty?
Maybe he's a Quagmire. Quagmire from Family Guy is supposed to be 65.

That aside, I think the actual peeve is that it seems they're near Tokyo. I was hoping this show wasn't going to fall into the stereotype of always using Tokyo when something is taking place in Japan. Glad Archie mentioned other places.

You can look like you are in your fifties even when you are in your 60's or even early 70's. It all depends on how well you take care of yourself, and if you smoke (which WILL age you.) I don't think Kirby smokes, and he doesn't look like he spends too much time in the sun either (but he probably burns because he's a redhead.)

There are some people who just age well..like those with darker skin (usually). Maybe he was a hipster in the early 70s as opposed to the late 60s.

I'd like to file a complaint... the TMNT section under Nick in my cable "On Demand" features is gone.

Continued to have a few episodes listed in it throughout the hiatus, and now that it returns and they have a new one that they should be adding as available to watch (because last year Comcast actually finally got good at adding the new ones), it's gone.

Where was that ever even said? Isn't he supposed to be around the same age as Peter and the others? The only one in his sixties I know of is the creepy old guy who likes Chris.

Yeah, they did do that. I'unno if it's sacrosanct, though, both Family Guy and American Dad disregard their own internal history all the time if it makes a specific joke or episode funnier. That particular case being, Quagmire clearly isn't that old, or shouldn't be, and the absurdity of the whole thing being the source of the episode's humor.

Isn't Ned Flanders said to be in his fifties or sixties in The Simpsons? I know there was an episode about it and he stated his true age, but he looks more in his thirties.

I think Ned certainly looks older than Quagmire, but maybe not that old. It's that yellow skin, it takes years off of you.

I'm surprised Grampa's still alive and kicking.

And Maggie's still a baby, right? I wouldn't know because I haven't watched it in years.

Yeah. I think they made a 'joke' in one of the later seasons about why non of the kids became adults on that show (drugs and medications they took for the show to stop them from aging) but it came off as unfunny and quite creepy instead.

I remember Peter from Family Guy mading a joke about Bonnie being pregnant for 6 years too.

Yep, he did.

"Okay, Bonnie, you've been pregnant for, like, six years now. Either have the baby or don't."

And she eventually did have the baby though.

I guess even the writers realised just how absurd it was that she hadn't bad the baby yet.

After looking back at old stuff from early Season 1, I wondered why the current episodes were so different from season 1. Was it the quality of the models, the plot development, etc.? In fact the most of the old writers from Season 1 didn't work on Season 2. I think it's because of the filler episodes, hypocrite Shredder, confusion with Mikey looking like an idiot (I hate that Mikey gets shouted at in the series for being an idiot.), arcs that haven't been yet solved, etc. I hope Peter Dicco writes some good episodes. Wikipedia states the show kinda declined during Season 2. The premiere had 3 million people watching in US, but (with the constant breaks, schedule changes and other things) 1/2 of the viewers stopped watching during late season 2. I think most of the people who watched were fans of the previous media and wanted to try it out.
