Because the sales were not good enough, supposedly.

From what I saw if sales were bad it was due to TRU's crappy distribution. My TRU never got a single case of the 6' classics. I had to get all mine from a friend in California where he said they shelf warmed by him.

Don't think I've seen a single Movie Classic in a store besides our LCS who up until it's relocating sale still had a set off them.

Most toy stores are still burnt in with loads off the first Classics.

The distribution over here in the UK is very good. So good that they're EVERYWHERE. And are shelf warmers obviously. Don't think I ever saw any others sold, except my set

Had it not been for the guy running the comic shop kinda got a set for me. He got in three sets, one for him, me and to sell at the store. I'd probably not get them, although they looked decent in-package. But, opening them, they just sported way too many issues.

For me, the classics were first seen in a comic store in Vancouver .
I got all four there and went out of the store a happy dude.
It was shortly after that, that I started getting my figures in line.
That's why it was neat over the past two visits to the UK to see the figures in Asda and Forbidden Planet.
Here, in Shanghai, TRU do a decent selection but we are behind in the official distribution chain. That said, I've seen the classics and movie versions there.

Where I live they generally sold out pretty fast even Rockstead, Bebop, and movie waves.

When my phone's browser opened this thread it brought it up to the first page again which led me to wonder is there any news on whether or not they're going to release the biodroid?

You just need to shop at the Toys R Us here in Madison. With me as a customer they know they can sell any TMNT product. (Almost)

Like TMNTMAN, as a customer of TMNT stuff, I can be sold almost anything as well.

Today, it was a 20" Half Shell Heroes Leo. He's more of a stutue; designed to house all the lil figures in his shell, legs and arms. He' s pretty huge and imposing. I wont use him as storage, but a big Leo figure.

Then, I have noe seen the Beaver packs. So they are on the way. They are NOT advertised on the reverse of their own packs tho. I took a couple of pics. Ill addthem later. For now its just a note to say that they are on their way (well, the red one is!!).

I finally got the T Rocket. I was thinking Id never get oneof those. Looks like the waiting was almost worth it. Not the bestest of vehicles but a nice addition. To counterpoint this, the Casey snow mobile is a cool (pun intended there) addition, as is the included new casey figure.

Now, all of these were really nice to get. Then I get offered something that made me say yes yes yes yes......

I dunno if it's everybodies cup of tea, but this, on first viewing is my favorite Turtles box set. I got the individual figures recently. The figures in this set with their 'metal' parts are WAY better looking. The box set is amazing. Definitely getting a prominant display place; and I will add the Giant version to that display.

All in all, a nice lil Sunday morning.

Oh wow did they actually paint the hand wraps on the turtles too?
I wonder where and how much this thing will be sold. The chrome and decent paint apps is a big draw to me.

Yup. Painted hand wraps. The individual regular releases do not have that detailing.
Overall, the presentation of detailing on the 'chrome' set is superior in all areas to the first set.
Fugitoid looks amazing in chrome. (tempted to buy the original 90s Fugitoid chrome version to compliment this set)

Alright, something I actually really want. That Space Turtles + Fugitoif looks awesome.

If the gear is removable like in the big chrome Leo, these guy would be a nice addition to have more screen accurate figures instead of the Battle Shell Basics.

Yup. Space gear is removable . My set is staying in this box and on top shelf display. Working on a Dimension X display just now.

Oh, here's the awesome reverse box art.

Is there a release date? I would actually want this. Leo's face is a bit odd, but it's a masterpiece on Playmate's standards!

Am I the only one who doesn't like how their belts and leg armor are color coated on the figures abd not white like they are on the show.
