Well with a license like Flaming Carrot I doubt it'll be for more than an episode.

Exactly, he works a one-shot. But he's kinda different. He seems like a gag character, and not a super-powered character that is so powerful you wonder he doesn't defeat Shredder with one hand behind his back, so I guess he kinda works.

Anyone hear any updates on FCs appearance? As a big fan of his comics I'm anxious to see him onscreen.

Yeah...I take it this isn't happening. When this was reported either the deal fell through or it was misinterpeted or something.

I think FC's hopes of ever being in animated Turtles died when Laird sold the rights. I don't see Nick bringing in any characters they don't own, like Miyamato Usagi or the Planet Racers crew. It's a shame because Flaming Carrot is one of the funniest comic book characters ever created, right next to The Tick and Axe Cop IN MY OPINION.

Honestly I never thought the 2k3 series overdid the superheroes.

I've always felt that in a world were all this crazy stuff happens to the turtles on a regular basis surely there are other equally if not stranger things happening to other people in their world.

As for why they don't take out Shredder? Well that's long been a conceit of comics that exist in a shared universe. Why for years did Spider-Man not regularly ask the FF or Avengers to help fight his stronger foes? Heck why did these heroes that regularly patrol NYC not ever happen upon Spider-Man battling these villains? It surely should be a bigger question now that he is an Avenger and Future Foundation member.

You could go down the list or heroes that have solo adventures while being part of teams like Iron Man or Captain America. Why does Batman struggle against street level villains in his own books but go toe to toe with god-like beings in the Justice League?

It's just one of those things.

So much this. It didn't help that they were all uninteresting and just felt like they didn't fit into the show.

And that's why I don't like the whole Marvel and DC universe idea with all of these superheroes together in the same world. Of course it's just an opinion and I've never read the comics but it almost ruins the "specialness" of the character/characters when there is someone else who is just as special or more special than the protagonist. Like how Spiderman isn't all that special when there is every other marvel hero in the universe who has powers - and some have even "better" powers. Same goes for the Justice Force in the TMNT2k3 show - diminishes the "specialness" of the turtles. Also the justice force could easily take on and subdue the Shredder without the turtles's help. It opens up so many plotholes that would fry your brain if you thought about it for too long.

Flaming Carrot appearance postponed

Hi, fellow fans!

A couple of weeks ago, I attended the first day of the New York Comic Con and got to have a few words with Ciro Nieli and Brandon Auman. When I asked for the long-awaited appearance of the Flaming Carrot, they told me that - mostly due to legal issues - they haven't been able to include him into the story yet; although they have been thinking of a parody/hommage of him guest-starring in the series.

But as of now, it is unknown - and perhaps quite unlikely - that FC will ever appear.

Agreed. At this rate I think (and hope) he won't show up.

Why are people crazy about a carrot?

I hope he won't show up as well, there's nothing appealing at all imo.

FC sounds like an incredibly stupid idea.

There are Ninja Turtles...and then there are Flaming Carrots.

Flaming Carrot pre-dates the Turtles as far as comics appearances go... he's such a weird character that I'm not sure how he'd work in animation, especially in the current Turtles cartoon. They'd have to heavily cartoonify him, I think. I'd love to see him, anyway, but that's me being a hardcore Turtlephile.

Far as I know, Bob Burden owns the rights to the Carrot 100% and might be skittish about getting involved with a media conglomerate after the Mystery Men movie...

I seriously doubt that the Flaming Carrot will ever show up. The same goes for Cerebus, Usagi, Panda Kahn, Savage Dragon, Gnat Rat, The Rabbids and Batman.
