What does everyone mean, when they use the expression "shipping"? Does that mean, every episode is them just go from place to place in the space"ship", hence "shipping", or am i missing something? Thanks in advance for letting me know.

Yeah, just moments after literal sentient garbage was smushed by a talking dinosaur man from space. Dark elements does not wholly make a dark show. Shipping is essentially match-making in works of fiction.

I rather enjoyed this ep. For Raph and Mona it was love at first fight. He didn't go all googly eyed at her. It was more of a mutual respect. I wasn't really surprised when he named her. Raph has a soft spot and his appears to be art (remember, he was the one that painted a certain female turtle on the side of the Party Wagon). I thought it was a bit odd at first that it was Raphael who was the voice of reason. But then I realized that he realized the 2 parties were just stranded warriors trying to get home.

I also loved the cultural differences. To Salamandarians an open hand means war but a closed fist means friendship. I certainly hope we see more of the Salamandarians and learn more of their culture! Perhaps see their home world?

As for no Gargoyles references. Those Ice Dragons kinda looked like Gargoyle dogs....

Doesn't look like him, coloration-wise, though the brother thing crossed my mind, too.

Nah... Newtralizer is her daddy...Altho he's clearly a fire belly newt and she's more of an Alpine.... Raph did learn one thing. Mona doesn't have toxic skin like some Salamanders and Newts do.

This might not be her first rodeo in feeling for someone. Which could also explain how easy it was for her to take charge in taking things…further with Raph.

Please not another love triangle. Do we really need another love triangle besides the ongoing Casey/April/Donnie love triangle? Their lover triangle is the example of poorly, poorly written triangle.
My feeling is, if you're going to have a love triangle, it should be in there because it evolves naturally as a product of the story and characters and not because it’s a thing you feel your story ought to have because drama.

I really see no love triangle here. I just see a bad ass fight between Mona vs Newtralizer from this. I want that. Them having a history would add some meaning and wight to their fight, (hence, drama) and help strengthen the wobbly foundation Raph/Mona is on right now. There's a possibility that Newtralizer will be in the forth season from this (Can you find the Newtralizer? *Dora voice*) Newtralizer shares the same "Kill everything to kill Kraang." philosophy so I could see him being with the Triceratons.

And Raph shouting "Kick his ass, babe!" would be the best

I don't want another love triangle as much as you do. XP

Sad thing is, if the gang succeeds in gathering the generator parts, Raph may not remember Mona Lisa anymore. The generator parts get gathered, so the Triceretons never used it, and the Fugitoid never went to Earth to rescue The Turtles, April, and Casey.

Ok, what can I say? Mona Lisa was SO worth the wait! I admit, I had doubts when I saw her design. Even after the Comic Con clip, I wasn't sure if her design would allow her much facial expressions. But she was not only animated better than I expected, she was really pretty! There were some angles that showed off how lovely she is. I know a lot of people think the only way to make a female character pretty is long hair, eye lashes, and....boobies, but they managed to capture her femininity without going overboard on the design. The more I watched this show, I noticed the trend of how they were trying to be a bit more realistic in the mutant designs. At first, I hated the way Splinter looked, the more I watched the more I loved his design. I actually love this Splinter the best from all incarnations.

So...about the relationship. I can TOTALLY get why people are saying it's rushed and forced and happening too quickly. I said that too at the end, but then I thought "Wait. How many seasons have we had of people complaining about the April Love Triangle dragging on? Leo and Karai getting together? People are begging for the teasing to end and give us something solid for one of the turtles." Maybe the writers felt this was "answering the prayers" of shippers and from what I've seen on Tumblr, it has. Sure, it was rushed, but how often do fans rush shipping? Whenever two characters share a minute of screen time, BOOM!!! SHIP SAILS!!! Maybe the writer's thought they were giving the fans what they wanted. Or they thought they wanted. I admit, I felt we could've had one more episode of Mona Lisa and Raph before the kiss, but at least we have some (hopefully) interesting plots for future episodes. Peter D. (forgot how to spell his name) confirmed it on Tumblr that she WILL be in more than one episode, so maybe we can have her show up again.

I think Mona and Sal could easily reappear in the final battle against the Triceratons with the turtles before they go back to Earth or whatever. I'd love to see them at least once more before that too though.

Oh man, loved this so much! Raph and Mona are so freakin' cute! I've always been more of a Raph/Ninjara fan, but this version of Mona is much more like Ninjara than the original Mona, so I like her!

And love-stricken Raph is just too adorable. Bring me more!

Raph felt she was beautiful and, no doubt in the future he'll call her by her first name, but it was sweet on his part. He meant well-more than well- and he took his love of art and transpired it to this beautiful creature he met.

I mean, 'Michelangelo' is a mouthful, right? And we call him 'Mikey', Right?
How about Hamato Yoshi, who we call Splinter? Or all those super long Tumblr names that we often shorten?
It's nothing rude. In fact, Raph meant it as an endearment.
So...it's not something to fuss over, right, fellas? Or at least that's what I thought...with all due respct to these bloggers. I just think they took it one step too far...

Am I wrong here or...

I don't get why people are saying that Raph and Mona Lisa's relationship was rushed. Haven't you heard the saying Love at first Sight (but in Raphs case it was love at first fight)

Quite a lot of couples fall in love at first sight and get into a relationship straight away (like my parents and they got married a few months later and 42 years later they are still going strong).
