Wow. Just, wow...
I maybe wrong on this as I never watched Teen Titans. Raven was powerful from the start right, April wasn't.

So I think when he said he doesn't like powerful women he prefers there powers to become stronger over time not from the 1st episode so there be more of a story to it.

Also April hasn't been in every episode, Raven is a main character and is in every episode.

Ciro outright stated that he doesn't like to write female characters because they become too powerful for him to handle. He even said that writing male characters was easier for him.

Yet, he decided to give April all of these abilities (telekinesis and mind reading, to name a few...), making her more powerful than the turtles ever were. Thus, he fulfilled his prophesy.

Simple as that.

He did get a lot of backlash for that, so that's probably why he changed his mind.

Anyway she probably won't be powerful for long. If this dark April is being foreshadowed and Dark April is stopped, she could lose most of her powers (and that crystal part).

Not really, the turtles are still stronger in combat and more stealthy which are used way more than Aprils psychic powers.

Hopefully it won't just be 1 episode. At least make it a 2-parter.

Honestly it's been harped before, but if you have trouble writing someone because their character ovulates, you're a crappy writer.

There's just really no other excuse since women writers in general don't seem to have problems writing dudes.

I think Ciro just thinks your typical girl isn't all that interesting so he decides to pump them with powers. to make them "more interesting." But the end result is that said girl was pumped too much and is now a walking mess plot wise.

Exactly.

If you can't write someone with a different lifestyle, gender, or viewpoint than your own, YOU SHOULDN'T BE WRITING FICTION.

Or you're, y'know, Louis L'amour or somebody who writes the same 12 novels 150 times.

Don't forget having a fixation on girls kissing if you look into the Legend of Korra thread.

Apologies. No matter where he goes on the Technodrome, Cubed will almost always spew weird or just plain stupid s*it and we all love him for it.

He is our spirit guide.

And sometimes, our spirit guide forgets that not everything with the TMNT brand on it is quality. But I shall be the spirit guide to his spirit guide and try to lead him back to the light...

I keep seeing grown adults (or at least their Facebook pages indicate them as having long past graduated high school) leaving message on the official TMNT page talking about how Don not "getting" April is causing them such hardships as stress, throwing up, and ruining their lives.

Little tweens and young teens I can see being so melodramatic... but why would an adult be that invested in the love-lives of polygons? The only thing I can figure is a serious mental imbalance that might need treatment.

There are actually grown adults who want Don/April together? Jesus, do you have a link? I have to see this for myself.

I can understand young 12-15 year olds be interested in this especially if the Nick cartoon is their first exposure to TMNT, but any full grown adult should be ashamed of themselves.

Cubed...I'm going on 34 years of age, Donnie's my favorite turtle, and I'm unapologeticly a Don O'Neil shipper.
