My favorite part of the episode was the very beginning with the Mortal Kombat spoof. That brought back some memories of playing the game. The rest of it was fine.

Because changing their weapon makes them a "totally different character". The 80s cartoon changed Mikey's nunchucks to a grappling hook, but he was still Mikey.

In fairness I even recognised that as sarcasm. Usually if a comment seems beyond stupid, it's being done on purpose such as saying someone's a different character because they have a different weapon.

That's probably why Obi-Wan said that Darth Vader killed Anakin. He lost his blue lightsaber and got a red lightsaber. Completely different person.

Even so, sarcasm online is a risky business. Sometimes people are being genuinely stupid. But I too was in fact being sarcastic in my response to Xav, who was also being sarcastic. Online sarcasm is a mine field.

Finally! A great Season 4 episode! I loved the nods to the Mirage battle arena scenes, but I also got this Ridley Scott "Gladiator" vibe from it. Zanmoran sometimes reminded me of Commodus watching the brutal fights.

Anyways, I was pretty impressed.

I love the scene where Casey and April dragging the black hole generator using the force field they run into a group of Triceritons that are going back from the arena and one of them has a foam figure saying Zeno #1 on it.

Was just rewatching this and noticed that the arena announcer (voiced by John DiMaggio) sounds remarkably close to OT Shredder. If he ends up being in the crossover episode I could see them using him.
