Simple answer... the fanbase (at least the movie fanbase) don't care about quality or a good movie as long as the TMNT is slapped on it and the main characters kinda/sorta resemble the characters they vaugely remember from their childhood....

And now they have a sequel. That will also suck. But hey, Bebop and Rocksteady.
