Season 4 Discussion Thread

Episodes are scripted months in advance, I doubt they would have made a change that drastic. I think people wrongly assumed 13 because that's half a season, but it was only 8.

im going by what i remember that was stated by the cast

It's not misinformation because I remember reading about that myself. But they could have meant that there are thirteen episodes set at the farmhouse and they never stated specifically that those episodes were all going to be in succession.

I don't remember the reception on Chinatown ghost, I personally like that episode. Mystic stuff usually doesn't interest me and I'm more of a Horror, Noir and Supernatural kind of guy.

What about the next 1987 & 2012 crossover which was about 1987 Shredder, 1987 Bebop and 1987 Rocksteady?

How would the 2012 Bebop, 2012 Rocksteady and 2012 Shredder react if they see their 1987 counterparts?

The Bebops and Rocksteadys would be best buddies, but I doubt Shredder would see his counterpart the same way.

To this day I never understood why 2k12 Bebop and Rocksteady are friends I mean before it feels as if Ivan could barely stand Zeck but now both of them or friends because the the 87 version were.

Thats how B&R have always been, best buddies and always laughing together. OOTS, Nick and FW has done that well, and I am most looking forward to the Bebop and Rocksteadys meeting together in the future crossover.

It's more comradery for the sake of convenience. They are in the same boat so to survive they have to rely on one another, but if one of them did find a way to escape the Shredder and/or become human again they would use it on themselves.

With the exception for the Nick incarnation those friendships make sense, they were both dumb street punks who were already friends before the mutation here it doesn't make sense, Ivan probably has some Russian Mafia ties and Zeck is a thief with Hi tech gear and while it is possible that people of opposite wavelengths can be close friends Ivan could't stand Zeck when they work together but now they are BFFs because well thats how the FW series did it.

I like in IDW they aren't a well oiled machine and get on each others nerves quite a bit.

Well should't they ally themselves with Xever because he wants to become human to.

So does Bradford. A lot of the hench mutants want to be returned to human again. However, Xever is in a different situation than Bebop and Rocksteady.

Xever was caught trying to steal from the Shredder, but the Shredder bailed him out of jail and Xever works for him out of loyalty because of that.

Steranko and Zeck don't hold the same loyalty, however. Steranko has some partnership with the Shredder, but the Shredder still mutates him and Zeck as punishment. And then gives them the ultimatum of "Serve me or die by my hand." To which Rocksteady said "Alright, we'll serve you...for now." When B & R learned of the Retromutagen, Rocksteady states that they could use that to become human again...though he does say that it could make him human again before correcting himself and saying "I mean us." So in other words, they are working together because it more convenient to do so, but if one of them did find a way out of their situation, they would take it and would not look back.

I agree and I feel that if they saw that solution, they wouldn't hesitate to turn on the other if that's what it took.

So Ho Chan is supposed to be coming back? Works for me. I thought his character was hilarious and thought the episode was funny. The only thing I hated about the ep he debuted in, was the beginning, because the set up with Casey and Donnie felt completely off and forced.
