Season 4 Discussion Thread - Page 206

I know this is a little off topic with all these posts about The Revenge of The Super Shredder, air dates, hiatus, etc, but I wanted to point out something that has been bothering me through out the whole season.

Has anyone ever brought into thought why this season is the only one without any hour specials? I mean each season had 2 one hour specials. Seaosn1 had Rise of the Turtles and Showdown has the season's hour specials. Then Season 2 had Wormquake! and The Invasion. And afterwards Season 3 had Battle For New York and Annihilation: Earth. But Season 4 had none.

I mean Trans-Dimensional Turtles, Earth's Last Stand, City at War, The Super Shredder, Owari, or any other one could of easily been the season's 2 one hour specials. But no we didn't get anything. I mean I know we got episodes that continued right after the previous episode's events like Beyond The Known Universe and The Moons of Thalos 3 or The Super Shredder and Darkest Plight, but it isn't the same since we had to wait for the next weekend to see what happened.

But anyways, does anyone have any logical guess as to why they might of done this to this season?

Most probably because season 5 is going to be a season full of nothing but multi parters, with arcs being not 2, but 3 or 4 episodes long. I think the makers may have decided to focus on having season 4 only have single episodes in order to balance out the multi patter heavy season 5. After all, Nick wants the balanced approach, not too episodic like the OT and not too serialized like 2k3.

I don't really care about the breaks anymore as I have more important things to do than worry about it. I'll check the schedule on my guide as much as I can and if they don't show new eps, then I'll just go grocery shopping with my mom on Sundays until they air new ones again.

There was never one. It was just an assumption made because of a generic description given to a regular TMNT Christmas book that adapted Target: April O'Neil.

Same here, Bubbly. Also there are other shows to watch besides TMNT.

I just thought about something! What if the final two episodes of Season 4 brings back nearly every mutant character that is not affiliated with the Foot Clan? And with Shredder a mutant now, what are the chances that Don Vizioso might return, and tries to use his anti-mutant weapons on him?

I'm really getting tired of these hiatus, stopping the series in the most interesting moments.

As far as I see, I believe what creeps me more about the Super Shredder is his mutated heart outside the chest. It really gives me the creeps.
