There were definitely a few eps of 2k3 they were. Raphael also went actively looking for trouble in some eps although it was to "blow off steam."

The animation for this series is obviously different from other interpretations, but I am still going to watch the show when it starts airing. Having Rob Paulsen as the voice director is a huge positive in my book and I think it does look like it will be fun. My co-worker was hoping for a light-hearted show for her kids, especially after some of the dark and violent moments during the final days of the 2012 series like Splinter's death.

I think I'm in the same boat. I'm not super excited but I'm excited to show it to my 5 year old. He wasn't big on the 2012 series because some of the violence scared him. The only episodes he will watch is the Wanted Bebop and Rocksteady arc. He won't even watch the baby turtles episode on the same DVD. I think this one will be a good series to get him into, he likes the movies and the 80s series but it'll be fun to have something new to watch with him and get all the toys for as they come out instead of trying to find all the older ones or dig out my extras.

Yeah I watched it. Just a shorter version of the trailer they just released Friday. And some cringeworthy lines from the voice cast presenting an award.

In episode 4 of 2003 serieshe attacked casey jones because he was looking for someone to fight. You are trying to make like only i and my foot ninjas are evil when you know that turtles are not good either. If he didnt attack while he was fighting purple dragons then they might have never met

Did he got scared because of how badly i beat the turtles? Then what does he think about the 2003 series where there is lot more violence?

This gives some more about the show and how it will look. Also, so far as the leader goes, I don't think what they said about Raph makes him look good, not sure how Raph fans feel about that? It also does mention Leo having leader 'smarts' but just that he doesn't want that kind of thing being as he's young still.

Their movement in the clip here looked better than the other clip, to me anyway.

The Behind the scenes video was very informative. Seems like the showrunners have a lot of faith in their vision, I hope it works out well for them.

Well for one I hate it

But’s its alright, I’ve come to get used to it. His portrayal has been consistently underwhelming since the 2003 series. Just another show on my list I can’t look back on for a good depiction.

I love it. It look so colorful, fresh and fun looking!

That first teaser poster really doesn’t do justice to the show. I’m 100% onboard now.

Did I mention I love the colors? The palette is much better than 2k12’s grey-ish scheme.

For me this isn't really all that much different than reading someone's AU fic.
Chances are good if the characterization and voice acting are good, then the art style will grow on me.

Time will tell.

Its mixed completely mixed feelings imo. Some of it i hate and despise, some of it i think looks neat but waiting til the 1st few eps air before i decide. Though honestly, i hope they dont push the comedy and humor into it as much as they are saying....

I loved the video, will be sure to keep up to date on every little new thing we learn about series. They're definetly aiming for a more fun focused show, which I'm for.

Also, it was mentioned that "Old Favourite Villains" will be returning. That pretty much confirms Shredder will be returning while Krang/Utroms, Baxter Stockman and Bebop/ Rocksteady are my second guesses.

The showrunners also mentioned that Leonardo will want to be leader, putting a new spin on the traditional Leo-Raph rivalry where it is usually the latter who wants to be the leader.

In short, nothing new if you've been following everything up to this point. They show a lot of the concept art, storyboards in progress, bit of new footage, but just about all of the talk is stuff we already know.

One takeaway is regarding the Leo/Raph dynamic, which is to say that Raph is only the leader because he's the oldest, & that Leo has all the qualities of a leader but is more interested in being a teenager than taking the initiative. I think this was previously implied, but yeah.

And with old villains returning, Shredder will 100% appear since we know the Foot are in it. I'm sure we'll also see the usual Baxter/Leatherhead/Rat King/Karai and some form of Utroms/Krang as well.
