Ventriloquist is your least favorite, eh?

I wouldn't mind if Pyg were toned down a bit. It's mainly the whole Dollatron robot zombie thing that irks me.

Just make him a crazy doctor who thinks cutting people's hands off and sewing feet in their place is necessary surgery. More horror, less comic book.

He was until Professor Pyg came along. I don't get why he is used in so many group villain shots. There was enough under Morrison's pen to then fade away like quite a few have done after a few stories. Not much need for him after working with Dr. Hurt in the Rebirth Nightwing story. Dollman an even more recent rogue also has the same odd grotesque gimmick.

Yeah, Grant Morrison's run introduced some rather gory characters. Like frickin' Flamingo.

Too over the top for me. I like my Batman PG-13.

Didn't some of these guys kinda lead the Joker to be more gory too, like cutting his face off and slicing Alfred's hand off and whatnot?

I always figure the Joker has to be their main guy, so if they make new villains be extremely dark and gory, by default they have to up the ante with the Joker to make him even worse.

That was all Scott Snyder. His stuff wasn't as bizarre, though. I think Joker maiming himself and Alfred isn't as disturbing as stuff Morrison came up with.

I like the idea of the Gotham based villains as sympathetic. So many of them have that quality no matter the evil they are while the above mentioned don't have that. They are just sick.

There is this little known 1982 storyline that could be adapted where an in-continuity Batman was turned into a vampire by The Monk in one of the three versions of his encounter with the villain. I believe a detective angle could be worked into it.
