Question for everyone that still has the OG lair. They show the dimensions as 18" wide. Do we think this is a 1:1 reproduction or did they downsize like the technodrome re-issue?

It’s supposed to be a 1:1 reproduction, only the box is smaller.

Yes, the 2022 ones. These are from an alternate company I believe. Same 2022 turtles and weapons though.

So....I kinda find it hard to believe they'll do additional vehicle/playset reissues after this, just because I can't fathom what else they might do that would be as heavy hitting.

Personally I recently actually bought complete Mutant Module and Foot Cruisers on the secondary market within the last 2-3 years, because those were on my short list of must-haves. There aren't a whole lot of must-haves for me. Those, blimp, lair, wagon, drome, thrower...and now they've done all those. And I bought the reissue of them all too just so I could display the boxes, lol (and to sleep soundly at night knowing that while my second hand ones are scuffed and imperfect these are pristine).

So what else might they do? I suspect they would NOT do this, but the next thing I'd actually WANT would be the News Van. Kinda surprised they haven't done a Cheapskate (I or II) yet; I would buy those even though I also have the OG of each. As a kid I had the plunger gun, telephone line rider, sewer army tube; but as an adult I don't really feel I need those.

Vehicles take up too much space for me to collect them all. I learned this by buying every 2012 series vehicle and now I need to get rid of them!

Never would have guessed the toilet taxi would come, so I suppose anything is possible. But I feel like they might be getting close to the point of dwindling returns...

Also, kinda crazy how many figure reissues we have gotten in the new, more accurate card art era. I don't even have room to display all those anymore. Still wishing on a star for Scratch and Hot Spot. It would be interesting to see if they could get Metalhead right as far as the vac finish. And if they did do him, it would be really swell of them to make a Warrior Metalhead Mike too in the same wave! (I do have Warrior Mike, but no accessories and he is worn)

I may end up having to sell the box set with the Mutant Module art to reclaim some space; I've got all the figures in that set in their individual, proper card art versions and now that we have the real Mutant Module that box set seems superfluous (but still cool). But when I went through the other box sets hoping I could identify more of them to part with I realized most of them all contain unique figures! I guess I could also get rid of the Lair and Cruiser box sets, too.

So these are showing up at US Walmarts?

Haven’t seen any other sightings besides the Reddit guy.

Not all US Walmarts yet. I believe they are coming. I’m checking my TRU at Macy’s soon.

Are these the same molds as the originals? Any difference in head size (one year had larger head molds right?)

Yes. These 2022 figures are the same ones as the 2021 Walmart exclusives. The large rotocast heads are exactly the same. These are just Canadian releases.

Think of the Import Dragons TMNT basic turtle reissues at Walmart like the 2012 Italian Nick TMNT figures at Five Below in 2020.

I managed to snag a near complete one on fleabay for 40 shipped, missing only the 2 big missiles. Stickers suck but it's otherwise awesome.
