I just take issue with a lot of the people involved in the program & can't help but to be a curmudgeon about it.

I don't think anyone on that show could sell an SNL t-shirt, let alone throw it down on stage in the ways of old.

My wife has no love for Colin Jost, so I totally understand. To be fair I mainly watch it (like Simpsons & SVU) because occasionally something will actually be decent.

Yeah, dude wtf? You could play with that scenario and make it funny. Like make him an embarrassing old dude, or play up him living in a sewer or constantly being attacked by ninjas, or any humorous reason for her to be apprehensive to come home. Maybe her boyfriend is in the Foot Clan? I dunno, just brainstorming.

But no, the way it was executed was just depressing and as a father of a youngster I love dearly, it ruined my day lol. Donatello was portrayed as nothing but a good and loving dad and she had better things to do.

Surely a very real situation parents might face when kids grow up and start exploring the world and having lives of their own. But... decidedly not funny.
