Gi Joe/Tmnt crossover

Kinda working on a little project, with Playmates doing one last hurrah with Tmnt/Gi Joe I decided to try doing a crossover story, someday hope it to be a comic. If anyone wants to contribute or make it better their more than welcome.
Here's what I have so far.

Tmnt/Gijoe

issue 1
Lord of the swamp

Show a pontoon plane smoking and crashing in the bayou
Show Zarana is looking at the plane and deciding to swim to shore.
A pair of eyes watch her from the shore.
She's surprised by Leatherhead and caught in a net

now back at his camp he starts talking and taunting her about making her his girl.
he opens a box that has one of the versions of the foot symbol on it, inside shows space for ooze canisters and there's only one.
he pours it onto her.

show the title a few days later.
Zartan and his brother are looking at the down plane and talking.
they head to shore and start tracking.
they come onto the camp and see someone covered up in a tarp/poncho and chained by a foot to a tree.
Zartan pulls it back and is shocked to see a mutated gator Zarana.
She starts to talk and then tries to warn them as Leatherhead comes back and stuns Zander.
Zartan takes off into the swamp and Leatherhead starts to go after him.

show them hunting each other for a few pages with Zartan hiding in a tree and about to fire with an arrow.
he misses hitting the hat instead. leatherhead fires his shotgun breaking the branch and now the two start wrestling on the ground.
Leatherhead is triumphant and about to make the killing bite when Zarana hits him over the head with a log knocking him out. "I want a divorce honey."

Leatherhead is tied/chained up as they load a Cobra boat up.
they head out to and Leatherhead jumps overboard and escapes.
Zartan lets it go because getting to Cobra is more important.
Zarana is now in a patient gown being inspected by Dr Mindbender while Zartan is taking to Cobra Commander
the final page shows Cobra commander holding the now empty ooze canister with it reflecting in his face plate and saying "Interesting.

issue two
a deal

Storm Shadow recognizes the foot symbol on the box and the Commander orders him to set up a meeting.
the next few pages have him sneaking into the Foot headquarters and killing a few guards and finding Shredder on a thrown.
Storm shadow then holds up a video screen with Cobra Commander on it. After apologizing for Storm Shadows mess, they talk and broker a trade.

now show a warehouse on the wharf in New York.
on the roof is Snake eyes, Scarlet, and Shipwreak. Their watching for the meetup and talking.
suddenly there's a commotion and someone's attacking the Foot and Cobra.
the Joes head in and are shocked to see Alopex fighting them. Scarlet tries to berate her but are cut short and in the crossfire.
one of the crates they were loading breaks open and reveals that its their mutagen canisters
Scarlet is then badly wounded when Cobra escapes.
Snake eyes is then shown throwing a tracking throwing star at one of the crates before he cradles a bleeding Scarlet.
Alopex tells them she can heal her but she might not like what she looks like when she wakes up and eyeing the mutagen.
she also mentions she has some friends they can stay with while they recuperate.

show Scarlets view point as she wakes up and is shocked to see Splinter welcoming her in a bed. she then sees he hand is furry and clawed.
the final page is her looking shocked at being a fox with red highlights.

issue 3
training and testing
have Scarlet starting to dress and modify her clothes as Splinter tells the tale of their origins with a few flashbacks.
she asks if there might be a cure and he says he does not know.

now we go to the Cobra hide out where Mindbender is experimenting with the mutagen changing both a male and female cobra trooper into serpent mutants.
Cobra Commander enters and they talk about the effectiveness of the mutagen and if they still have the dna from the failed project a few years ago.
CC "We must work quickly then, the Joe's will be here soon and I want to surprise them." in his hand is the ninja star tracker.

back to the lair Raph and Leo are sparing with Snake eyes for 2 pages, Mikey comes in with pizza and they stop. Donatello and Shipwreak come in saying he got in contact with Duke and he's sending some Joes to help and to try and find a cure and to deal with Cobra. Then enters Scarlet with a better fitting uniform to give the old "Yo Joe!" cry.

back at the Cobra base we only see giant shadows of the newly mutated troops with Cobra commander laughing.
Zartan is then talking with Mindbender demanding a cure for Zarana.
in the back ground have Croc Master trying to woe Zarana and she wallops him with her tail.
Enter the Baroness laughing at Zarana until she throws mutagen on her and she then Cries out "What have you done?" as she mutates into a skunk and now Zaranas laughing at her.

The Joe team arrives, its Doc, Mainframe, Airtight, Roadblock,Gung-ho,and Law and Order. they start studding the mutagen when one of them stumbles and Order is exposed turning him into a new mutant on the final page.

issue 4
frontal assault
Order is also with them wearing a close uniform to Laws and driving with one of the other Joes regretting them watching the Blues Brothers earlier in the week..
The joes and turtles find themselves outside a closed zoo. Order is also with them wearing a close uniform to Laws.
They make a plan to attack the front while Leo, Snake eyes, and Scarlet try to sneak into the back. They charge in but nothing happens until a spotlight shines on them and they hear Cobra Commander over a loud speaker welcoming them.
Cage doors start opening and out come the mutated troops.

Meanwhile Leo and Snake eyes are in the back and are attacked by storm shadow with Leo battling him with Stomshadow complementing his swordsmanship.

Back outside the Joes and turtles are kicking ass and beating the troops with the usual insults being thrown.
Cobra Commander then reveals his surprise, 5 of his troops are mutated dinomen and a dinowoman . definitely use the raph and mikey line from the 2nd movie.

Inside Mindbendor is finally trying to treating Zarana in a gas chamber but then Snakeeyes and Scarlet break down the door. Scarlet starts fighting Zarana. They both end up in the chamber and we see them returning to normal in the smokey gas. a dejected Croc master turns to run away but also eyes one of the canisters. Snake eyes then destroys the mutagen other than the cure to a horrified Mindbendor who then retreats vowing revenge.

The Joes and turtles are having a difficult time till they hear Scarlet shout for the turtles to run as a canister falls to the ground and starts spewing the retro mutagen cloud and people start turning back to normal. We last see Cobra commander fleeing in a trouble bubble.

epilogue
the team wraps up, numbers are exchanges, the usual.
the last two pages have two endings with Croc master now surrounded by gator babes.
a B.A.T. is in an 87 style foot uniform with the hood getting ready to be put in place with Shredder telling Stockman to begin full production.

Good news, got a writer doing the script and the artist that did my kaiju April comic lined up. Hopefully we’ll begin production at the start of August.

I also plan to set up a patron or go fund me to help finance it. The artist charges 45-60 for a three hour session and can do once a week. At most I can only afford every 2 weeks. I plan to have him sketch the first issue and use that as a reward so people can see that productivity’s being done, might also have fan art and page redraws by other artists and alternate cover pages. I’ll take suggestions if anyone has any.

Art looks cool! At what point in your story script will April get snaked, or was that just some for-fun concept art? Script kinda looks like Scarlet occupies April’s usual place in the Turtles’ story.

Actually I just finished writing her for issue 2. the first couple of pages do the silent issue following Storm shadow into the New York Foot headquarters while on the opposing pages April after finishing a report at the zoo notices people loading a cobra crate into a hidden elevator in the reptile exhibit. She crawls through a vent and get's caught after the vent collapses into dr. Mindbendors lab.

Cobra commander later tells them to test the mutagen on the meddlesome reporter before using it on his troops to make sure it's the real thing and not a trick.

Sounds about right for April’s rotten luck crawling around in secret labs and bases!

Will Cobra C. use April as the first of his mutant troopers or will she be considered inconsequential enough to slither away and get the info to the good guys? So long as Shredder and the Foot Clan isn’t directly advising, I wouldn’t think Cobra would associate her with anyone important.

I like how the first chapter reads a bit like a variance on the first Predator film!

I can’t help but think The Baroness is a bit wasted as a skunk for the whole story though it is a funny idea!

I am thinking of doing a single funny page at the end of each issue and hiring a different artist to do each one. Like Bebop and Rocksteady walk into a dreadnok bar. The baroness bit I was thinking of her getting mutated and then showing up at Destros room in sexy underwear going “Oh, Destro.” And him doing a spit take with his wine. Not sure for issue 2 yet.
Actually now that I think about it the 2nd issue could have bebop and rocksteady in front of a judge and their given a choice, jail or…
The bottom panel has sgt slaughter with his arms around their necks and squeezing and saying”So your my 2 new troublemakers huh?”

Thought of issue 3 and 4 covers. Business suit Casey Jones trying to get recruited at the local GIJoe office, I just don’t know which Joe should be looking at his application. The 4th is April human again fighting with Hector Rameriz over a microphone and camera crew. She’ll originally start trying to do this while she’s a snake mutant.

I think those seem more fitting for the gag pages than the covers, unless you're really going for the comedy is this series.

Might be funny if Hector and April start fighting over the live scoop and then become their human selves again.

Well I do have an alternate idea for her for issue 3 with her strapped to a chair with Mindbendor behind her with an ooze canister in one hand and a snake held by tongs in the other and grinning maniacally. My writer said he’s got to much on his plate so I showed him what I wrote and he says it works and pretty good, so that’s what I’m going to use.

Issue 3 I plan to have Splinter tell Scarlet the turtles back story, do you guys think I should go with the 15 years ago one or try for 5 years?

Here's how I'm thinking
Splinter: My real name is Hamato Yoshi, I was once a ninja master of the Foot Clan. I was sent to New York with my wife Tang Shin and my childhood friend Oroku Saki to form a new branch here. At first things went well and Saki began to form alliances with businesses while I was in charge of training the students.

My wife Tang Shen was a scientist, along with her assistant Dr. Stockman, they accidently created this strange substance that could heal people but would also cause unexpected evolutionary mutations when in contact with animals or humans.

Saki had wanted it all and one night he made his move while we were all in the lab. He tried to strike me from behind, but Shin got in the way of his slash, and I was exposed to the mutagen. There was an explosion and I fled into the night along with 4 turtle eggs that would soon hatch and become my sons.

I dunno... considering your project is already super ambitious at four issues and so many characters, would it be best to take time explaining out a somewhat altered origin story for the FW-style turtles? The Baxter subplot is interesting but since he doesn't factor into your comic script until the teaser at the end of issue 4, it feels like a bit of space wasted that could be showing Foxy Scarlet in action raiding the Zoo base or Snake April chasing Dr. Mindbender around.

I do, I just finished writing issue 3 and I plan to set up the patron tomorrow. he's got the first 5 pages sketched and i'll have another session with him next week to start inking and coloring. for the patron i plan to have the sketches and the script for the pages offered there as well as a dedication page. the only thing i can really offer for bonuses is extra fan art and extra pages of alternate stories. Doctor awesome told me he's not really interested in doing transformation scenes, so depending i may have other artists do that as a bonus and maybe show more adult pieces with them. i'm really considering elek-tronikz to do the snake april transformation when their available and if i get the extra funds.
