Gosh, the disappointment was real. When we got Usagi in the 2012 show, it was pretty cool, as usual. When they announced that they were then going to do a CGI Usagi show following that, with the same voice actor, I was REALLY excited. Usagi had never gotten a show, and the 2012 arc was a pretty good showing of what an Usagi show could be like; if not a direct adaptation, then a distillation that could have a lot of potential.

Then they announced that it was Space Usagi, not even the real Space Usagi, much less Usagi proper, with a completely made up setting and characters that ultimately had nothing to do with Usagi besides the name.

My interest instantly evaporated. Why anyone thought that was the way to go, I'll never know.
