And here's the list of all R4 TMNT DVDs;

http://www.magnapacific.com.au/index...=ninja+turtles

As you can see they have all the US Singles for Seasons 1 and 2, and then those same singles put together into box sets. That's the reason I asked Murphy if it would be possible for Mirage to suggest to Magna Pacific to include "Ninja Tribunal" on the set since it's really needed for the episodes to make sense! And if the Seasons 3 and 4 are eventually released in R4 if they're the same as R1 (as the first 2 seasons were) then they also won't include the episode!

Edit: Just noticed a small version of the box art has been posted on that first link!

Note the use of the movie logo! Clever promotional tie-in, seems 4Kids/Funimation could use some sense like Magna Pacific seem to be showing! The DVD set is also listed as released 7th March, so it seems they're really putting it out there with the hopes that the movie (along with any hype and advertising for the movie) will benefit the DVD set as well.
At least now we have an idea of what the box art'll look like. I agree with you on Magna Pacific doing the DVD set and whatnot.

How do you think sales will be affected if Mirage suggested Magna Pacific to include Ninja Tribunal on the DVD set?

I'm going to email Magna Pacific about the Ninja Tribunal ep, maybe others could do the same. My previous ealings with them have been very smooth and friendly...

S'ok, Putrescent... Actually, my opening line is from a SONG... heh... so it was all kinda meant as sorta tongue-in-cheek...

Personally I think it will mean more people import the set, after all one of the main reasons people would wait for a US release is the inclusion of that episode. Of course even if they include the episode I'd probably pick up the R1 release as well to show support (especially if we can get the "Nightmares Recycled" script as a bonus feature).

Trist I'll email them as well.

Murphy, I know you said the chances of getting storyboards and/or dialogue for "Nightmares Recycled" as a bonus feature was slim (and I perfectly understand your reasoning), but what do you reckon the chances are for the script? If the chances are we won't be able to get it on the DVD set, could Mirage post it on the site for the fans to read? Content wouldn't really be an issue then!

Murphy, you have made this dull day so much brighter for me. This is sweet. I'll see it in theatres, then watch to 2,000 more times on YouTube.

Quick question: Do you think there will ever be a chance that you can partner up with Rick Ungar and do TMNT/Biker Mice From Mars Tales issue?

??!!

I'm pretty immobile (no car, sadly) and probably won't get out to theaters anytime before Christmas, but holywow. This makes me so happy.

*cough* Sorry for the overuse of smilies. It's the only way I could fully express my joy.

This calls for another thread so people who don't know about this one can know about the new TMNT trailer and get hyped!

Again, thanks to Mr. Murphy - more thanks than he'll ever know from all of us.

Pretty much confirms that the set will be released down there. Wow, I'm excited! I just have to figure out what I have to do to play import DVDs on my computer or my DVD player.

Pretty much every dvd player has a code that you punch in on your remote that will unlock all other regions permanently without doing any damage to your player. We did this with our one and it works great. All you need to do is look up the model number and make and search for the code on google, guarantee you'll find it

But the new show has definitely made references to the old toon. April in the yellow jump suit, and Gen as Rocksteady are two of the most obvious. So, I'm not sure why it would be that different to reference something strictly from Archie. Anyways that's just my thought.

Maybe the shows writers never read the Archie comics and don't know how different from the old show it became.

That's what I did when I got "Spaced" on dvd...glad I did it too, cause now I'm getting the Lost Season dvd!

Also, are there ANY dvds out there for the new toon with the eps IN ORDER?! (Besides season 1).

As for FF, I may watch it when we hit part two if it does indeed get darker (I gave up after watching the beginning of the second episode...).

I really need to get the Archie comics...they sound like my cup of tea.

Murphy, I don't know if you'd know or not...but I'll ask anyway: Does the Lost Season have a new opening?

Hey, Murphy. When you get back, could you tell us what we, as fans, can do to help promote the movie? I'd like to help however I can.

I've had this on the drawing boards (so to speak) but haven't pitched it yet. Thinking the right time might be in Fall 07 when (or whenever) the 2nd FF season starts.

The thing is, though, that we'll never get newsstand distribution, just direct market comic stores.

Time will tell...
