I finally broke down and bought a new PS2 saturday. I've wanted a slim one (and one that works all the time) for a while now but thought I'd hold out and just get a PS3 eventually. But after seeing how crappy the PS/PS2 games look on the PS3, I'd never want to play my old games on a PS3, so I figured it was time to just buy one. A little Christmas present for myself.

excellent work, dude.. Which color did u get? Silver or black?

Btw, the ps2 still have some life in it till maybe the end of 2007. remember how far ps1 went when the ps2 came out?

I got a silver one. Also, it wouldn't matter if the system was completely dead, I would still like to be able to play some of my favorite PS/PS2 titles without them looking like crap.

Yeah, I bought my new PS2 over...I guess a month and a half ago now? Right before they released the cool silver one of course.

It was on sale at TRU though, so I couldn't pass up the thing at such a dirt cheap price. Strangely, I stopped playing PS2 games right after I got it. I got a new one because I was tired of the old one craping out in the middle of Okami, but then I just stopped playing all together.

And the PS2 still has God of War 2. That's enough to warrant the cheap price tag for me.

I was thinking of getting a new ps2 but I don't want to cuz then I might not play it once i get it.

I can't understand why the PS2 is such a piece of sh*t. It has less power than a Dreamcast, lasts three years at best before getting disc read errors, and costs as much as an XBox. Worthless piece of sh*t.

My Sega Saturn still runs like new. So does my Sega CD. Sony manufactures these things so that they die like car parts. $$$

I got three games for Christmas already haha. Two aren't out yet though.

Gears Of War
Assassins Creed
TMNT Movie

I can just pick them up the day they come out at the store, cool stuff! I'll be returning Gears Of War for Lost Planet if I don't get Lost Planet for Christmas too. If I do I don't know what I'll do cause I really don't like Gears enough to own it.

To be honest I don't like getting crap for Christmas either but my family won't take no for an answer.

Got my Wii and as a surprise I got Gears Of War. Typically enough my router just decided to totally crap out on me so now I can't get any VC games until I get a new one

I know it comes out in Jan I could pre-order it or just wait till it's out. Either way taking back Gears would pay it off in full.

I'm grateful for all the things I get I just don't think it's necessary and I'm the sort of person who likes to buy things for myself. Getting presents makes me feel spoiled. Especially from my Mom who over does it and buys me too much crap.

Example: This year she told me she bought me over 30 presents. I got everyone 1 or 2 tops O_O

Well for christmas I got

Psp with prince of persia Revelations
Dead to rights reckoning

then yesterday and today I got 2 more psp games

Mega man maverick hunter x
Gradius collection

Mega man maverick hunter x is an excellent remake of mega man x.. You can play as vile as well and also watch a great OVA called the day of sigma that tells the story before the events of mega man x.. ALso contains a demo of mega man powered up.

Gradius collecton contains 5 different gradius games all from the arcade.. Gradius 1-4 and Gradius Gaiden a game which has never been seen in north america. They also have a music player which contains tracks from all the gradius games as well as a movie gallery which shows the fmvs movies of the gradius games released on other platforms like the ps2 or ps1.

i bought Elebits a couple days after it came out. I sold it 2 days later, I hated the game but many others like it.

So I was still in need of a Wii game besides Zelda, so I bought Rayman Raving Rabbids and so far i'm enjoying it a lot.

What's wrong with DKC? I haven't bought any other games cause none of them are optimized for the PAL region, I'm kinding hoping they'll do something about that (thought I know they won't) before I buy any more.
