Season 1 Set Coming?!

That's one of the DVD releases listed on a Toon Zone news item of 4Kids DVDs for the end of May, at least.

If this is an actual season 1 set of the new show (all 26 eps) I will strongly consider buying this depending on the price. I held off on buying all the individual discs in hopes that real season sets would be made at some point. Hopefully they put the season in one case so it's not just a box with all 8 dvd cases.

If they do boxsets, the episodes better be in proper order.

Season 2, 3, and 4 are horribly out of order on the DVDs.

Actully season 2 is in order, the only thing you have to do to make it in order is to label city at war volume 13 and not battle nexus. Having all Turtles discs in my DVD player, I put the City at War disc before Battle Nexus, and poof, in order season 2. Now season 3 is where it went all downhill.

I hope this news is true and all of it is in order. That'd be a good thing on 4Kids part. Now they need to release TLS on DVD.

Not quite. Season 2 started getting out-of-order at Vol. 11 (Ultimate Ninja), and kept doing eps. out-of-order through the rest of the DVDs, in one way or another.

But yes, would be nice to have Sets for those that haven't gotten the DVDs.

Don't know. The other poster's are just pondering on it. Though. Season 1 was done in-order on the single-discs anyway. So won't be much difference in that aspect (other than if they do more episodes per-disc, thus having less amount of discs).

If this turned out to be true, I would be ever-so-happy. I own the first disc, but none of the others from season 1.

I'm sure it doesn't need to be said, but I'll say it anyway. I'll gladly get it if it's not just the first 8 DVDs in a flimsy cardboard box. I already spent too much on the 8 volumes. If this is an item that fixes all their previous screw-ups and perhaps even has all the same and more extras, I'm buying copies for everyone (maybe). ^_^

Oh, now this is good news. Admittably I'll buy the season set even if it is just a box with all the separate release (since I only own Shredder Strikes, Shredder Strikes Back and Return to New York from the first season).

And if it is an actual season set... even better. That'll be a nice sign for future releases.

Great news! For those of you looking for the link, you can find it here: http://news.toonzone.net/article.php?ID=14669

4Kids' release schedule for May is out, with May 22nd seeing the release of Winx Club Season 2 Vol. #2, Yu-Gi-Oh GX #3 and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Season One Boxset.

The sole release for May 29th is Yu-Gi-Oh Season 5 Vol. #1.

OH HELL YEAH!!! I'm sure glad they are wising up. It's going to be nice to have all 5 seasons on my shelf.

(That's seasons 1 to 4 and then the Lost Season, which is Season 5 in my eyes.)

I'm hoping it's not just the first 8 DVDs released together in one package. I want something a bit fancy like the WB does for the Batman animated series DVDs. They would save a LOT of money just putting all 26 episodes on 4 discs as opposed to just grouping the first 8 DVDs together. Plus, I want all the episodes in order anyway. The DVDs they got now are all screwed up. So, if you are reading this 4kids, give us Turtles fans justice!!!!

I've been waitin' for these babies! First smart decision 4Kids has made in a damn long time...Let's hope all the seasons get similar treatment, so I can live happily ever after.

Season 1 boxset, a boxset for the 2K3 series, being released by 4Kids. You all spazed that they would screw us out of The Lost Season this is pretty good sign we will be getting it. And I'm all up for re-buying the DVDs in a set, in order. I don't care if I bought all the other ones already.

Wait, weren't the first season DVDs already released in some kind of package? Or am I just hallucinating again?

I thought I'd seen that somewhere -- and I distinctly remembered the insane asking price. So it appears that this latest Ninja Turtles release won't just be the regular DVDs repackaged together! Rad.

Worst thing was it was $70 for just the first 4 discs, not the first season. You could buy the individual discs off of Amazon for a combined total of $45 at the time
