I think it would be a pretty colossal mistake for any comic creator to alter their own vision of their creation to that of some fans.

That said, more ninja action, please.

I used to know Volume Four pretty well and could predict what was going on. Now I don't remember a good chunk of it.

comic on-line? aw man, i want a BOOK to told and read and admire the ART! not sit at screen and scrolling down & up (do that enough already!)

i miss my Mirage TMNT and want it back... i hope this series continues.

i like Lairds writing, and i like Lawsons art, and Dooneys covers!
is Laird burned out? (i know he took a break) or is it sales? or a combo of both?

were are the fans?

hoping/waiting for the Forever War...maybe we'll get a good conclusion to the Archie series
yeah, i love both universes

It'll be online yes but you also have the option to buy for around $10 (not sure if that's per issue or a TPB...better be a TPB )

As for Forever War...expect that along with some Archie series TPB's around May 2009.

I'll take the option to buy.

Just never can get into online comics.

I think the best way to do it would be like the Heroes graphic novels: have the comics online for free, then the people who are really enthusiastic about it can buy the comics in a TPB/hardcover later. I'm sure enough hardcore TMNT fans would end up buying the TPB later.

I know I would want to buy the tpb's...I'm still waiting on them to release all the other non-tales ones, so I can read the official tmnt story in continuity, but I think it'd be a little too risky for Peter.

If Mirage themselves can't do it, it would be cool if they got some other comic studio to do it for them. Back when TMNT came out it would have been cool to start releasing Vol. 1 trades as a sort of tie-in.

Yeah I know, Laird wants to go George Lucas on it. When will artists realize that the fans loved their stuff just fine the first time around?

And don't even get me started on that. George Lucas is a thousand times better than Laird.

Just as long as Han's blaster or Michelangelo's nunchakus aren't replaced with walkie talkies, I guess I won't freak out over it.

Yeah the ninja aspects have been really non existant in this vol. 4 run. As someone stated it is Laird himself thats not really into this. He is more into the scifi-fantasy stuff. He even said in the letters page of the vol. 4 comics that the ninja stuff and violence and choreography of the panels was Kevin Eastman's thing. Which I think is pretty weird considering the title of the comic for one of its creators to almost ignore the ninja stuff.
