Don't make me come in here and force you two to hold hands while singing "Kumbayah".

Now, let's all take deep breaths and go back to discussion.

*ahem*

While I LOVE that Mr. M. is allowing us these brief glimpses into the process, DARN IT! I WANT TO SEE MY SPLINTIE!..... I mean, I hope that we can see a few more nice sneak peeks at the others.

When they did "The Journal", Casey, April, and Karai (and the Tribunal) looked pretty okay considering. Shredder and the Foot, for that matter, during "Timing is Everything" faired rather well. I hope that they do a good job of merging the style with the movie version-- and this seems to be a fairly good merge of the two styles.

*waits for MORE sneak peeks*

Let's all calm down and just give it some more time, okay..? They've pushed to bring us another season at ALL; I feel they're doing the best they can with what they've got. The designs aren't final yet, so let's wait and hope for the best.

I did this last night just for kicks and to see how each of the preliminary art compared. I placed the new art in the middle since it's in between the styles of 2k3 and FF.

I just realized something...this is a lot like the change between Batman:TAS and The New Adventures of Batman (Gotham Nights series)

HOW did he fight crime with such tiny feet?

Thank-you! Paraphrase from "Blazing Saddles".

Honestly that second pic of Bats is... JEEZE, those feets are tiny and triangular and pointy and ICK! I can imagine his poor lil' toeses all cramped up in those boots--

I hated the style of Gotham Knights at first. It did an FF, added a kid character, but the storylines were still as gritty as ever and the animation was awesome.

Really great series.

Thanks for posting that comparison picture, Leonardo Mystic.

Personally, I like the Turtles without pupils, but I have no problem if they are added. It just seems like the whole reason for adding them is to show that Mikey has blue eyes.

Can't wait to see the new season I hope that they take the designs even one more step closer to the movie designs and give the boys different body builds.

They did in >>, so who knows maybe they'll keep it in 2k8

I think people are getting too worked up over comments that aren't lavishing praise. The only "destructive" comments are the ones that just say "that looks stupid" and don't offer any suggestions. And yes, there have been a couple to that effect. But those of us who are saying "good start, but this is how I'd change it" are doing nothing wrong or ungrateful.

People who work in this industry need a thick skin, which is what I've learning in my classes as of late, from my teacher who has worked in several large studios so far in his career. In many studio environments, people aren't afraid to flat-out tell you to your face that your work sucks and needs to be revisited. So unless people are being rude just to be rude, I see no problem, really. I find it more comforting when people don't worry too much about bruising egos over minor things and say what they think. So long as those people have a vague concept of the line between "rude" and "honest," at least.

@Buslady: That makes me want to draw a picture

I definitely agree Masked, about artists having to be able to take critisism.
I'm good friends with a professional comic arist, Neil Googe, and he's kinda taken me under his wing and has taught me a lot- when he has the time, haha. Apparently when he was younger, people had told him he wasn't good enough to make it, but look where he is now. He's very honest but gentle about it any time he's needed to nudge me in the right direction.

They should be able to take it sure but like I said theres a differnce between saying what you like and don't like and giving examples of what you would like to see and how you would fix it and then saying it flat out sux or omgz i hatez it!!

We're calling it a freeway. Eight lanes of shimmering cement running from here to Pasadena. Smooth, safe, fast. Traffic jams will be a thing of the past. I see a place where people get on and off the freeway. On and off, off and on all day, all night! Soon there will be a string of gas stations, inexpensive motels, restaurants that serve rapidly prepared food! Tire salons, automobile dealerships and wonderful, wonderful billboards reaching as far as the eye can see! My God... It'll be beautiful.

Most people on here are trying to be constructive. I hae no problem with the designs, and I'm more concerned about plot than anything else. However, those who do have a problem with it have stated exactly what is wrong with the animation instead of just saying, "This totally sucks." Saying something sucks without backing up why is more destructive than offering why you think it's not that good. And as for changing things, we've all felt this way about FF. I certainly have, but that doesn't mean that Pete and Company listen to every single thing we say and change it. They may change it to their liking. Who knows? Maybe Pete like the FF concept at first and decided that it wouldn't work for 2K8. We don't know and probably won't know.
