At this point, I don't really care if Splinter dies or not, just as long as Serling doesn't come back with the Turtles, I'm open to anything. That C3-PO wannabe bastard just seems so out of place in the Turtles universe, in my opinion.

Why because he's funnier then Mikey? Seriously I think he's funny and he's a good balance to Mikey's annoyance.

No, just the idea of an android butler with a british accent in my opinion feels like it should be in some other cartoon, not the TMNT. But I haven't been watching TMNT FF, I stopped after the first couple of episodes. So maybe I just didn't give Serling a chance.
Just the idea of the Turtles being able to walk around in the daytime amongst aliens really kinda turns me off. To me, the Turtles seem less special when they're living in a world inhabitited by various alien races. And the focus on the ninja action started to drift away towards more silly storylines, like being stuck in video games and what not. Plus, I don't like the looks of the animation. It's not as nice as the 2k3 series. I just hope the new series is more like the new movie is all. K. I'm done ranting.

You know I'm really getting sick of this "I watched a few episodes and gave up" thing.
I'm so glad people who own these characters don't have this sort of attitude. And quite frankly you've got some nerve blasting any character for being like C3P0...Fugitoid will be more like C3P0 any day than Serling will ever be. Fugitoid was taken apart and taken all over the city remind you of anyone there Luke? Serling is Codeys care taker especially now that Darius is out of the picture. He's saved the kids life giving up his own even if he is just a robot. I know Fugitoid gave up his but it wasn't under the same circumstances. And honestly I like Serling he was one of the best things from Fast Forward he was funny where no other character from the start of this new series could be. Fast Forward was such a damn breath of fresh air for me because this series was taking it's self waaay to seriously. Just like allot of the fan base does...change is good and is going to happen and people are just going to have to live with it. If change didn't happen we'd have 4 dead baby turtles in a sewer instead of 4 mutant ones. Something to think about folks the next time you gripe about change. But hey everyone keep watching a few episodes being overly judgemental without constructive cristisim and bitching at every chance you get how things are not so and so a way You want them. Just remember why when the turtles are gone again for another 10 or so years. Last edited by VaughnMichael; 12-11-2007 at 10:05 PM. |

Seriously, Fugitoid was C3PO-incarnate, not Serling. But, he quite obviously is just a British Butler stereotype in robot's clothing. 'Course, I don't find there to be anything wrong with that. I didn't dislike Fast Forward (all the time), but he shared the spot of my favorite featured character with Donatello. His plot-significance was mainly just comedy-relief, but I agree that it would be harder to take the more serious tone they're promising seriously without a lot of effort from the production crew as well as the audience.

Hence, the gathering of the tasty morsels -- er... cute baby turtles -- in a coffee can and taking them to his lair. I'm sure he would have eaten them if they hadn't gotten so big.
Ah Putrescent, I agree yet disagree with you regarding Fast Forward. It was good... had more character development, better story (even animation) than the Lost Season but I still would not put it above the first four. I hardly thought the show was overly dramatic and in my opinion it was going interesting places. It did not need a rehaul. The nice thing about all the sci-fi mystical stuff before is that it didn't completely take over the entire series. It was there, but it wouldn't occupy more than a five-part story. In music, in all kinds of art the thing we all want to do is make something new. When you're making fine art for art's sake or telling stand-alone stories with no recurring characters or themes, when there is no existing soul to uphold, you're completely free to do whatever. There's nothing to honor but your own creativity. When you're telling stories for an established series of characters, it's important to remember the soul of the characters. That's the one restriction and you have to work with it and somehow also allow for change. Something stays constant that makes that property unique -- other things can change. I guess the main thing is that a lot of us disagree on what makes TMNT what it is. Some say it's over the top humor, some think it's action, some think it's scifi aliens, or scifi mutant conspiracy stories, drama, magic and fantasy, suspense, mystery, NINJAS, urban crime stories, family dynamics, teenage themes, larger epic "serious" stories as well as smaller "self-contained stories... Why can't it be all of the above? Wouldn't TMNT be horrible if any one of these aspects completely trumped the rest? Just a thought.

Putrescent, your very passionate about the way you feel about FF, and that's awesome. I was just stating MY opinion is all,and the direction that FF took just wasn't to my liking is all. I'm up for change, but I just didn't care for that direction. That's just me. If it makes anyone feel better, I don't think Serling is as annoying as say...this guy: . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

That's exactly what I want in a turtles series..but since I can't have that I go along for the ride. And say what's good and whats not about each episode.

It was going to happen all along and everyone can keep ignoring that fact if they like but they're gonna have to live with the characters a bit long because they aren't going anywhere any time soon. You made an opinion after watching a few episodes...shows aren't like people..you can't make a quick asumption about them. Hell even people some times can be given a bad wrap by a quick judgement. I'm not trying to chew you out or anything. & it really doesn't have to do with just Fast Forward. I'm sick and tired of the fan base bitching and complaining about everything under the sun. And Yeah I'd hope not Jar Jar Binks is more along the lines of Elmo status in the annoying book. |

Chaotix is a kid's show. The Real Ghostbusters is a kid's show. So's Bratz. Oh well -- my future career hinges on my ability to tell stories -- possibly children's stories -- so my view on this is rather biased. I think just because it's animated or just because it's deemed okay for kids doesn't mean it can't be a great show that can be appreciated by adults as well.

Fugitoid Jones, I can't see the second image in your post. First save the image to your desktop, then upload it for free onto www.imageshack.us.
I would very much like to decipher your equation.
