I apologize to the Turtle allies here... but sometimes when I watch the old shows, I wish that Shredder would succeed at least a couple of times.

Yeah, it's like.... we're sick of Shredder and Krang EVERY SINGLE EPISODE... but then they bring in lame-ass scientists and stuff that you're thinking "..... ok... PLEASE bring back Shredder and Krang!!"

Ya know - I've bought all the season sets and solo disks so far (I'm going to pick up seasons 5 and 6 together) but I figured that halfway through the 3rd season I couldn't take it anymore. It went SO downhill that I wanted to vomit and break the other DVDs. So much so - I haven't watched any dvds past I think 4 or 5. (Yes - I own the 4th season set and have yet to watch it.) It just went to hell in a handbasket too quickly.

season 3 is actually very good, my favourite. If you hate season 3, you shouls see season 4, now that's when all went to hell.

Wouldn't Season 3 still be playing by the time the first movie debuted? If the movie was released in March of 1990, the 3rd season was still airing.

I am basing this on the fact that Season 3 and Movie 1 both aired when I was in the 7th grade.

Since Season Three wrapped in early February, the movie came out between seasons. But, it was actually closer to the end of Three than the beginning of Four...

I don't think all the episodes are bad but I agree a handfull of the oens they used to air on weekday afternoons on fox kids where just so bad it's not even funny, I hate them as much now as I did as a kid.
The Saterday Morning CBS episodes will always be my fave ones.

Sometimes it seems like I'm the only one that likes all of the seasons! Well, to some degree. I'm not a fan of the Dregg stuff but I still can't wait for them to come out on DVD!!

Same here. Sure, there are episodes here and there that aren't very good, and I like some seasons more than others, but I enjoy all of the seasons overall.

The thing that annoyed me the most is that they would keep introducing new characters but never have them show up again. Also that the Technodrome would constantly be stuck somewhere.

You've made a mistake, friend. Volume 5 of season 3 is almost 100 percent quality episodes, and volume six has some can't miss classics.

At the very least, do yourself the favor of watching the Usagi episodes and "The Big" series finale.

My favourite episode types were, of course, technodrome moving ones and ones that had recurring guests. I especially like the one in Season 7 ?, Night of the Rogues! Just because it has so many past bad guys in it! It really should have been a major two parter that contained more good guy guests aside from whoever was in it. I think Casey Jones and... well, was that it?

I've been thinking about rewatching the series again up until the new season comes out. Just so it can be fresh in my mind. heh!!

It was Casey Jones and Zack, ad then good ol Splinter and April.... so yeah... Shredder has this major line-up of dangerous villians.... and all the Turtles had were just their regular sensei, miss damsel in distress, a nut with a hockey mask and a crazy kid that thinks he's a turtle.... whoa.... What sucks more is they that team-up helped defeat all the bad guys regardless... Well it didn't help that that particular episode's 'moral' was the turtles discovering just how useful regular humans are to them, so they were kinda forced to just use their human allies rather than calling more capable friends like the Punk Frogs, Usagi, Mondo Gecko and Bugman...

What also annoyed me of the series was how they would introduce characters that would never stick around like what Dan just said. I don't mind when they have excuses like Lotus being a drifter and the Frogs living in Florida... but when they have Mona Lisa say she's moving to New York to stay closer to Raph and that Mondo Gecko is gonna be their neighbor.. and yet they NEVER show up again.... I mean that just sucks. And like.. will Don ever re-activate Metalhead again or was he turned into a pizza oven? Why didn't they run into Lotus more often? Surely they would crossed paths since she operates in New York, being hired by several criminal figures... Did Don just plain give up on trying to send Usagi back home? I mean they sent Hokum hare back to storybook land right away, but as far as we know, Usagi is trapped in New York with Obento forever.

And why did they get rid of most of the supporting cast in Red Sky? Of all the 'guest stars' only Casey and Rat King appeared during the Red Sky eps, one episode each. Hell who knows, maybe they could have made Casey a regular instead of introducing Carter.
