Humor us and revise it with a "hard" edge. ^_^

I like it, but the softness makes my eyes go wonky.

I know it's redundant, but that was the purpose of saying "dark".

Good to hear things will be darker than they were in FF. Gives me some hope. =)

TMNT marketing

Considering TMNT: Back to the Sewers is a semi-relaunch of the cartoon series, and the first new post-movie TMNT toon, will there be any attempt on 4kids part to hype the series beyond just kids, perhaps promote the show at comic conventions in similar fashion as Spider-Man was? For a comicbook based series that has produced nearly 150 episodes and that has lasted for five years, TMNT 2K3 has a very low profile amongst comic and tv circles.

Hey, I like the new lair. It is very futuristic, but the design is actually pretty interesting. It's weird because we have 4 turtles who live in the sewers with god knows how they could afford much of anything let alone the most futuristic stuff known to man. But also cool because the design is very striking. It's the most interesting looking turtle lair I've ever seen. It really jumps out and grabs you.

Hopefully this will be like the "JLU" of TMNT.

Think about it as compared to the DCAU with these parallels:

-There was a dark, compelling beginning seres
-There was a slightly lighter series set in the future
-Storylines centering on a MULTITUDE of characters
-A return to the old/"past" after the futuristic spin off
-Redesigns that went from ok to freakin' SPECTACULAR
-Now that everything is set, the producers/writers can kind of do whatever they want

Thoughts?

Also, when I saw the title, I thought it may be a pun on "Back to the Future..." but maybe that's my hyperactive fandom looking for a reference.

Well, I think the first episode of the new season is actually called "Back from the Future."

when do we get to see the boys animation? on Thursday?

this is the statement with the new tmnt logo:
"The Turtles are back from the future, but find themselves a year ahead of where they left! How much can change in just 1 year? The Turtles are about to find out!"
find themselves a year aehad of where they left?? does that mean that they go back to the sewers but are still a year ahead in time wise? Know what I mean? They're still "time traveling" and when they come back..they go home...but wrong year kinda?
please tell me I'm reading too much into that.

Yeah, you're basically right: if the turtles left, say, in September 7 2007, they'd return more or less in September 2008. What we don't know is if this was a conscious decision or accidental--in either case, I don't think the turtles will actually try to return to the exact moment where they left off, so that means that their return will probably mean the end of their time travelling, at least for the moment.

So the show is now called "Back to the Sewer" instead of "Back to the Sewers"?

Time Flees/Flies? That makes sense since they're traveling back in time to a year later than where they started....

How many kids are going to know what that means? Then again, how many kids knew what a tribunal was before Ninja Tribunal? :p
