Next Mutation figures

The Next Mutation series is what introduced me to Ninja Turtles, and I have some of the figures from the toy series. I have the non-gimmicked Mikey and Venus figures(I love the rubbery feel of them), Don and Leo camo-cape figures and a Leo wearing a purple vest.

I have some questions that I can't find answers to anywhere else so:

Why was the Dragonlord figure white?
Was a Dr Quease figure ever made? and what about Wick?

Thanks if you know. I've been wondering for a while.

Don't know about the Dragon Lord question.

But neither Quease or Wick had figures (though there was one planned for Quease, just never got done).

All of the Next Mutations figures released are there (along with a few non-NM).

Yeah I've been on those pages before but it doesn't explain why Dragonlord is white and his face looks nothing like his in the show.
It's a shame there was no Dr Quease figure. He made the series more interesting, he was the epitome of cheese and just wacky, crazy funny character.

I guess these figures can't be found anywhere except Ebay nowadays, although Ebay UK has none.

I totally agree about Quease he is one of my all time favorite characters, he Vam Mi, & Simon really made the show for me.
I really wish we could see those characters again as I think they would fit into the new cartoon or comics very well, but everyone (for the most part) hates the next mutation.
Thye had planed to make another Dragon Lord figure in 1998 that was to have his dragon face and silver body he was also suposed to come with Wick but the show got cancled as did the toy line.
I'm not even sure if a prototype of those even exist as I've only seen mention of them in a toy interview by playmates.
Dr. Quease was to come out and a prototype was made but never saw the light of day sadly, this seems to be something playmates does allot.
They spend the money to make a toy and tool it but then they don't release it, blows my mind.
I'd do anything for a Dr. Quease figure.

Thanks. I was actually thinking of a DragonLord figure that came with Wick, its a shame the TV series had to end all of a sudden. Infact I don't even know why myself, but I guess it wasn't doing as well as they expected?
I agree, a Quease figure would have been cool. I remember he used to scare me when I was younger. I love when Mikey takes control of him and makes him dance in "Meet Dr Quease". I wish they'd bring back the character in the cartoon or a future movie.

NM was canceled for a few reasons. The biggest of which was production cost. It's the same reason that Mytic Knights got canned. Both were doing well enough for more episodes, but the cost was just to high to keep it going. I've heard there was a problem with Mirage about licensing or something as well, but there's no proof of it. Eitherway, I bearly remember the show. Wish it was on DVD here in the US (as I don't want to have to buy and region free player and import DVD just to see a low ranted show).

I have all of the episodes except All in the Family, Trusting Dr Quease and Nightfall. I think they're on a DVD called "All in the Family" but I don't think they're too important to the story anyway, I didn't really 'miss' anything except I guess the introduction of Bonesteel. I can watch them on Youtube, all (if not, most) of the episodes are on there.
I do like the series a lot, I guess I just love the live action Turtles in general. There's some things I dislike though.. One major annoyance is the comical sound effects, they're WAY too overused and irritating! Gawd damn!

Anyway. We should make a petition for the Dr Quease figure to be released.
Oh and anybody know why they made a figure of the Elite Guard? I don't remember seeing them in any episodes of the show.

I think I would have enjoyed Dr. Quease teaming up with Bishop in the new cartoon more than Baxter and Baxter is my favorite character in the new cartoon.

I'd love to make a petition for Playmates to Release all of the figures they never did for the 25th Anniversary.
You wouldn't believe the number of toys they never brought out.
I'm pretty sure they brought out the Elite Guard in the same vein as the 80's toy line just to add more characters to the line up, the figure looks almost exactly like the Elite Guard on the cover of TMNT vol. 1 # 53

No one believes you because he wasn't released, just like all the recent Fast Forward toys and many other Playmates toys never saw the light of day.

Whenever I come across one of these "I saw an unreleased figure in the stores and never got them to prove it" people, I die a bit inside.

Then again, I swear to Jebus I saw Quarry back when she was originally supposed to be released... I'm such a hypocrite.

I could get behind that. It'd probably wouldn't work seeing as how dumb Playmates is, but I would love to see them made.

Coo I think that idea is a much better one than them just rereleasing old toys that can be easily bought on ebay.

Yes that's from the back of the Silver action figure box.
