Well, since you said, "as the official last episode to ever air on 4Kids", I thought you may have meant that it would be the last chance we get to see 4kids TMNT on TV before Nick starts its rotation. I'm so glad I checked. WE GET A NEW EP, YO!! A week from this coming Saturday, the 1-hour TMNT block starts with the brand new ep
Spoiler:
Mayhem for Mutant Island
Spoiler:
Yeah, I know that's just a misinterpretation of the title for the BttS interstitials, but it'll be interesting to see if they eliminated all those frustrating TBCs and added another minute or two of original animation to make it fit the mold of a standard ep better. I kinda doubt that second part. But, hey, if it's laying around on the cutting room floor, then why not? (No, I'm not suggesting there was unused animation from those interstitials. "If" means "if", dangit!)

*crickets*

I guess I'm the only one psyched about this news.

Hmm, the way it was advertised last Saturday and on the 4Kids site was it was going to be the final of the final TMNT to be shown. Guess I was wrong. Still will be nice to have it shown as a 90 minute movie event and not broken up into 3 episodes. As for the new episode, I haven't heard anything about it. link?

Here is the link to the Zap2it listing for the Mayhem for Mutant Island episode and afterwards they're going to air Future Shellshock.

Hmm I'm really interested in how this will play out. Too bad that without the week-long breaks the episode is basically gonna be the Turtles switching wardrobe every 5 minutes and beating up on water balloon dinos.

Hey question - a bit of an off-topic one, but I wasn't sure if it really needed it's own thread.

Does anyone or anyplace have all of the production art pages for Forever? You know, these things.

I'd like to have my own copies of all of the pages we got, including the ones that were for the multiverse.

I have a small question.

Why did it take Hun and that other Purple Dragon longer to mutate?

The fly and the Foot Ninja/Razar mutated within seconds of contact but it took Hun and his minion longer. Was it because they did not want to mutate and were trying to resist the effects?

Well the fly hardly got anything on it, and it didn't fully mutate... so that explains that.

And the Foot/Rahzar had it injected directly in to their blood stream, so it worked super fast.

This is a complete stretch, but maybe Hun rolling around in sewer water slowed the mutagen DNA reaction....?

Just watched it in all it's glory again. Gets better the more I watch it. So the question begs to be asked again...why the hell isn't this on DVD but Mikey's Christmas Special is?

Here's hoping now that they aired it again as a movie and not 3 episodes that we are closer to a release. Maybe with some sweet special features to boot. A man can dream...

Might as well stop holding your breath. The movie is actually a Viacom product, and that suggests that there's no chance of a DVD release until 4kids' time runs out. So, start holding your breath again in September. Then, your self-inflicted suffocation will entirely fall on Viacom's conscience. That'll show 'em.

I actually finally got around to watching this recently and thought it was kind of a mixed bag. It's too bad the OT characters were portrayed as a disappointing parody of the originals. I mean, we get it. The older cartoon was more light-hearted than the newer one was, but the Turtles didn't all have one shared obnoxious personality and constantly give each other noogies. And you never, ever saw them cower and cry in fear when facing an enemy. Shredder and Krang were kind of funny here, but not nearly in the same way as in the old show. This movie seemed like a cool idea, but kind of poorly executed in my opinion. I'm guessing fans of the newer cartoon probably found more to like in this than old cartoon fans like me.

That said, there were some aspects I liked about it, especially the animation. The OT characters and setting (especially the lair) were perfect visually. I also really liked the scene with all of the different TMNT "universes." Plus, for all of its faults, I found it to be pretty entertaining throughout, and it did have a few funny moments. Still, I think the 25th anniversary of the TMNT deserved better, or at least something that showed some respect for the aspect of the franchise (the OT) that really put TMNT on the map for most fans.

I agree to the most part what you said Shredder, but the animation I have to say was a crime at several points of the Turtles Forever movie.

The animation in quite a few areas were very stretched and out of proportion.
Scared the living daylight out of me at several points of the Turtles Forever.

Is it just me or does the TMNT always get the shaft?
