LOOK GUYS! It actually quite simple. If Viacom/Nick even started on making this film. They would be in very early pre-production, so that means: Script writing, script approval, production sketches, story boards, character design and background drawings.

I'm sure every other movie website out there would have that kinda news much and much sooner (even on things like who is the director etc.) then a fully sculpted mask for the movie!

So end of discussion I think, this is fan stuff! (the guy who wrote it isn't even sure)

Well...after first shock/sight,I can say I don´t dislike that design, he looks like a turtle after all, ...but it makes me remember the characters of Dark Crystal, and if that head were definitive...Thet will have a lot of problems with expressions, even with CGI, thats the reason I think this its not a definitive head/look:

I like the design, but with a actual beak, you'll never get good facial expressions.
It needs more comic design input, having creatures that non-human makes it hard to make the audience emulate with the characters, he needs more human-esque eyes and a more fleshier beak.

but that design would look awesome in a short movie, with a realistic style, making a adaptation of issue 1, since they lack a lot of expressions.

It doesn't look that bad, of course it looks different to all the other Turtles Incarnations from the past, but different doesn't mean bad...

I would love to see a Turtles Movie with this TMNT Design!

It even looks more like a real Turtle than the costumes from the 4 Movies did or the Mirage Comics or the Toons did.

We just have to wait and see whats next...

Well, I'm glad we have a bunch of scientists in this thread determining that it is fake. The likelihood of it being fake is indeed higher on the scale. None of you so called "geniuses" have any actual proof at this moment to make a general consensus confirming it is real or fake. Right now it just a picture that has taken an interesting journey.

As far as film news goes this site has not been the front runner for much of anything. Sure we do get some information on some items early...but that is mainly due to the fact that the TMNT franchise just isn't that scorching hot. Most sites don't care about comics and cartoons and if mentioned it is normally of a very casual interest. Most is posted here due to a community of individuals who have a large interest in the product.

First of all, I have been much more of an advocate of a family orientated TMNT film than most of the sentiment on here. It has been mentioned that they might go the PG-13 route...make a "Batman Begins" for this frachise. If you are going to do that then then you probably will be seeing characters that look something close to the one posted in the OP.

Second. That picture you listed looks pretty awful. They already did that in 1997.

Third, if you didn't understand anything I said maybe there is some language barrier? I see that you are from France according to location? So I'm really not sure what your exact point is by "You should admit there is some kind of genius somewhere dude".

Must say, I think it would be great if the new flick took on a completely different design such as this. Its more horror movie, less kids' movie. Although i'm not absolutely nuts on the sculpt, I do dig it, and would not mind at all if the final look of the turtles was somewhat similar to this.
