speaking of the storage shells, did anyone else think it was weird that the video sort of made it sound like that was a new concept?

Ugh! *face palm*

Storage shell on an adult collector figure? & 10 to 11 inch figures are you kidding me?
These things are going to tower over anything that pre-exists on the market.
People want their figures to go together.
Does Playmates ever seriously ever do any sort of research before they make things?
I can't stop shaking my head over what this guy is saying.
I'm sorry they look nice but now my interest has seriously dropped in this line.
We're adults we want 100% accurate collector figures not crazy action features.
But perhaps I'm just speaking for myself here....
No, I was thinking the same thing abut the storage shells & the fact that the figures are 10-11 inches tall.

These figures look so damn awesome! I'm soo excited right now! Def going to be saving up my money to buy these (may have to get 2 sets, one for display, one for MIB)!

I am really happy with the way all the characters look, except Splinter, tho I'm sure over time I'll get more used to it and grow to like it more.

I love the Nick turtles. The ones without the pupils. The detail is awesome, the belts and wraps are great. I love the plastron, especially the chips. I'm all for these and will definitely pick em up, if only to keep MOC.

The Nick turtles with the pupils, I don't really dig em. I like the heads, but the bodies come across as cheap looking. They're a bit meh.

The rest of the cast i'm not too fussed for. The Kraang/Krang/Utrom looks pretty neat. Other than that I probably won't pick any of these up. I would've before but i'm expecting my first child in August so all my money will be going towards that!

The Classics line - I like em so far. The articulation seems a bit much for me, but I can't really complain as I prefer my stuff MOC anyway If you were to draw a line down the 'nose' of the toy, then they've channeled the OT intro pretty well, in my opinion...

Edit - looking at the Foot Soldier figure, looks to me like they've got a bit of the movies in there, in the face at least. That's pretty cool! The Shredder's helmet reminds me a fair bit of Dave Rapoza's version!

I'll be picking up at least one set of both the classic turtles and the nick turtles originals

I really wish they would produce variants to create that collector craze years from now like the 88 series has done. did the 2k series get any variants? I didn't get into collecting them much, but it doesnt seem like they did

Also, I cant say i DONT like the style of splinter, hes neat looking, very unique...but...that doesn't mean I think he looks right for a rat-sensai.

Badger splinter, wtf. I think that would have made a good second tier character, you could literally give him a different name and no one would think hes splinter i bet.

Plenty, but honestly most of them sucked. It was pretty much just repeated extreme sports themed stuff.

Even if he was with playmates during the 90's it's probably difficult remembering ever gimmick and varient they tried. Figures based on the Fred Wolf series have also been done before but obviously not this well.

For me that would be a deal breaker for any Don figure.

Nope, that looks backwards, with the top knuckles on the palm. I see it too.

Anybody get reminded of the "Toon Turtles" line a little bit with the Classics?
