TMNT Micro-Series #3 Donatello - Page 2

Toby Barrett · 02-13-2012, 06:24 PM

In an "Oh my god, I can't believe I didn't notice that moment", I just realized that the machine Donnie's holding in the Variant Cover is just like the one from the original Donatello Micro!

Wonder where Donatello gets an arm blaster weapon this time around?

Dimension X????

BAXTER STOCKMAN 19 · 02-23-2012, 03:18 AM

does Donatelo takes place directly after issue 7?

*ToTheNines* · 02-23-2012, 04:19 AM

Directly after #6 actually.

then why they release it after 7? if it takes place after 6 but before 7 then it should have been released before the release date of 7.

Because life is unfair sometimes. We'll overcome this trial.

**Jester** · 02-23-2012, 06:52 AM

All of the Micros have been released after the issue they precede. It doesn't so much effect the on-going that you'll even notice.

*CyberCubed* · 02-23-2012, 10:39 AM

They are all one-shots anyway. The only issue that has to be read is the Leonardo one which will continue to #10...same as Mirage.

*Plasticplayhouse* · 02-23-2012, 10:54 AM

i love donnie, so i'm super stoked to pick this issue up when it hits. the cover art looks pretty sweet too. i liked the arm cannon nod the the original donatello one shot

Nice preview of DONATELLO at CBR:

Thanks, everyone!

Nice preview,

Spoiler:

Does this really take place after #6 though? The summary sais Stockman's using the fair to look for a device to track down the turtles but he already made the mousers?

*CyberCubed* · 02-24-2012, 03:47 PM

I like the art a lot. Very cartoonish. Feels just like an episode of the old show, complete with a mad scientist and his crazy invention.

*Samhain* · 02-24-2012, 04:04 PM

Don's screenname: DUZ_MACHINES_84. I LOVE IT!

As always, thanks for the preview, Tom. Valerio Schiti did a great job penciling the issue. And the colors are very vibrant. I can't wait to pick my copy up. It looks to be a very fun story.

*oldmanwinters* · 02-24-2012, 04:36 PM

I'm loving that toony art style on Donny's comic! Valerio Schiti is totally schway!

Also, "KIRBY_FAN01". Is that the username for Kevin Eastman or Peter Laird?

That is an awesome preview!! Wow - loving everything you guys are doing. Keep it up, Tom! Great stories and they always leave me desperate for more. Can't wait to pick this up to finish the story!

**Jester** · 02-24-2012, 05:43 PM

Ok, I am thoroughly excited for the Donatello one-shot.

*Oculus Orbus* · 02-24-2012, 06:01 PM

I'm really impressed by the art, it's fantastic. Don't really dig what he does with the expressions in the turtles' faces, but everything else is just great.

Once again, we've got a turtle walking among people, lots of people, in the daylight. It's pretty much become normal in IDW, and it doesn't look like it will stop happening anytime soon.

Toby Barrett · 02-24-2012, 06:17 PM

Their coats and fedoras are like Superman's glasses.

*Donnie* · 02-24-2012, 07:42 PM

What a sick preview! I love all of those shout outs...Jordan Perry, Duz_Machines 84, Kirby_fan. So cool! I really like the way IDW is portraying Donnie. It's cool how both Mikey and now Don's one-shot showcase how different each of the brothers are when they aren't kicking ass.

"To me, my bo staff." - love it!!!

Only thing is, he's clearly a big Turtle under that trench coat. That's my only gripe. Donnie says "he's a ninja" so it will be easy to blend - no ninja skills being utilized there! I had it in my head that he was going to be watching from the ceiling rafters or something.

What the hell are you talking about?! The only Turtles I saw was Leo and Don and 2 hobos harassing a pizza guy.
