i agree with this- i am excited to see what the cartoon has to offer, but doubt i will be watching it religiously...

and as for IDW... goes without saying that it has rocked

I'm cautiously optimistic, at least for now. The IDW series I'm starting to really like (especially after issue #7), even though, my expectations were somewhat low. (In fairness, I have low expectations for anything made past 2010.) I'm quite curious about the new animated series and what direction they'll go in. If I don't care for it, I got plenty of other venues to go with, instead (OT, 2003, Mirage).

Not so much for the toys, as I have other priorities between OT DVDs and other essential DVDs. However, I do like the designs, and we'll see whenever they expand with other characters.

For me, it's a little too soon to judge everything properly. I'll find out, soon enough.

I don't mean to say that we didn't get anything good out of the last generation of TMNT games. We did! I just hope we get something good this time, too.

Its awesome to (nearly) have them back!

All Ive really seen of the new incarnation so far is the toys and the promo shots of the turtles.

Cant say I like the three toes (change for the sake of change?) or Splinter being a badger but Ill live with it.

All of this "I can't judge it yet" stuff is silly. The thread title says SO FAR. You don't have to see the show to have an opinion on the character designs & overall feel. Just share your expectations based on what we've been shown.

You know my expectations for the Nick show have recently gone through the roof.

I was expecting it not to be as good as the 4kids series, and maybe a bit too kiddie, but it does seem like they're taking this series seriously.

I like the comic book so far, and I'm looking forward to the TMNT cartoon. I haven't been watching many new cartoons lately, so I want to give TMNT a shot.

I agree that the Nick toon has more potential for success than the 2003 cartoon, based on the marketing power of Nickelodeon.

I wasn't sure of the new designs at first, but I must say they look amazing in action figure form.

Considering this is the third official relaunch of the TMNT franchise, how do you feel so far? Do you think it will be as successful as the first generation? As the 4kids/Volume 4/4th movie generation?
Ithink the show is gonna suck, but the toys are awesome and IDW is bada$$

Why the hate on IDW? The pacing may be off but its no worse than Volume 2 and 4's odd pacing.

Except for the fact that it's an OT circlejerk, but that's a whole 'nother topic.

While I believe everyone is entitled to their own opinion it is kind of ironic that both your avatar and signature are from art from a show that you think is "going to suck"

So far I've been enjoying the IDW comics. I can't say whether or not I'll like the cartoon until it actually airs, though I want to give it a fair shot.

Third official relaunch??? You mean fourth - New Mutation - as much as people would desire to have it not counting - did indeed happen once, shows, toys and all.

QFT! The Next Mutation/Image period was not a fun one for me. Though it could be said that it wrapped up the First era while the second relaunch and then after Next Mutation was canceled the First era was over.

As for the poll. Its too early to punch in one of the options. There things I like and things I don't like. Its just as time passed how much likes will there be weighing against the dislikes. So far its about even overall for me. I have a feeling it will not match my love of the first relaunch but I will appreciate it overall.
