At this point I wouldn't be surprised if Katy Perry gets the role of April. After she played Smurfette in the new Smurfs movie it wouldn't surprise me.

Dude, that was a voice role...anyone can do a voice role. (And by that I mean a 300 pound black man has twice played a fit Asian man in TMNT)

The April in this movie will probably be a Megan Fox clone.

I would bet money that's probably not far from the truth. I guess I feel guilty that I don't have an exceedingly large problem with that.

As long as she has some brains to balance the "beauty," I'm game.

Has anybody brought up that Nick has been doing the right thing with TMNT and they most likely will not give the green light on the TMNT being actual extra terrestrials?

I really don't think that the movie's origin story would differ that greatly from the Nick toon. If it's too different from the show the kids they are aiming all this too will be confused.

I don't know about that...I wasn't confused seeing TMNT 1 when the cartoon was big, and that origin was different. Kids that little won't even make the connection. In this respect I do hope that the movie is it's own universe.

Yeah, but that was back when Mirage owned the turtles. Peter and Kevin were involved in the making of that movie so it's no suprising it came out ''darker'' than what kids were used to. But Nick is different. They paid a lot of money and I don't think they are gonna screw this up.

Go with the feeling, sir.

This all could be academic, anyway, as if enough people female dog about this, they will probably scrap the alien angle and go back to square one. With the internet age, everything is more fluid, including instant retractions or revisions. It isn't like the script is finalized or anything else, so there is time.

Unless, it really is to galvanize the fandom and to create massive lulz, as Andrew and others had alluded earlier. Because, it's a few days later, and 'this can't be for real, right? It has to be a joke.'

I waited until the first Bayformer movie was on torrent sites before I watched it. No way was I paying money to see that s*ite no matter how big a TF fan I was.

I would bet my house that he doesn't mean they will be from outer space. The turtles are technically an alien race since they are the only 4 turtles in the world who can walk, talk, and perform martial arts.

I have two thoughts:

1) I still think people are flipping out WAY too much about this when we have next to no actually information

2) Megan Fox's character was just about the only thing I liked about the first 2 Transformers films so I have no issue with an April like her.

Aside from Yoshi being Splinter...which is borrowed from FW.

(reads that article closely) I know this is the one that said "alien planet" but it also says the movie is sans "Teenage Mutant". But where do you see the Nick too keeps Mirage (or at least normal Turtles mutated by alien ooze) origin?

It's a sad day when scumbags who don't care about the source material think they can turn the Turtles into anything they want.

The bizarre thing is since this is a movie that means more people will see it than the comics or cartoons. Why would Viacom approve this?

The comics and the show seem to respect the source material an old stuff, what do these people in charge of the movie think they're doing?

Oh my lord. You can't be serious. All this over a 20 second clip?
