Triceratons are awesome. I loved the original cartoon's take on them, not as serious but still fun.

I do like Triceratons! But I'm a sucker for sentient dinosaurs with laser blasters too.

Now I'm curious to see that "2D image of April" mentioned in the Panel review.

Yeah, that's it. Usually info is poured into this thread opposed to individuals so I was not sure. Well, Chris altered the masses while I folded it into this thread.

As for the Triceratons. They are okay, but they get too much focus opposed to the Federation. The Federation is in control of a few galaxies while The Triceraton Republic blew up their own planet yet have proven to be the one race the Federation come to a draw with.

I'm loving all this. Can't wait for the show to start. Love those sketches too, wish stuff like that happened around where I live.

Do you think the trailer they showed at London will air Online or will we have to wait for Comic Con San Diego?

It's a shame that Bebop and Rocksteady aren't being used, at least for Season 1. They work perfectly in a light-hearted kids show, especially with tons of other mutants around.

Maybe they just want to make sure new mutants get enough exposure first without bringing back old classics to steal their thunder. Maybe we'll see them in Season 2.

I see no reason to believe that they won't ever use Bebob and Rocksteady in the new show, but at the same time I don't see any reason to believe that they will either. The way that question was responded to didn't say anything definite beyond no current plans. They could easily incorporate them later on if they want to. It's a technique that Hasbro reps have used when talking about their future plans for their programming. Most especially Transformers. Rarely do they say absolutely no or yes to a certain character, so they'll say that they have no current plans to use them, leaving the door open for them to use said character when they want to.

Since Peter Laird isn't in charge this time, there's always the possibility down the road.

They always could, sure....but, yeah - you're right that they have confirmed they have no plans for them to be in the 2k12 show. Unfortunately (IMO). Boo.

Nothing was mentioned about this, but my gut feeling is they'll show this (or probably an even longer clip) at SDCC and then the mass market campaign will kick in to high gear very soon after.

I think they have 2 marketing strategies - target the old fans with convntion events like this and the early Mutation in Progress some US fans got invited to, and then the mass market campaign which will more likely be targeted at their core audience.

This. They have no plans for the characters at this time but that doesn't mean they won't be seen in the future. The team working on this series are big fans and at the London event they stressed that our opinions are very important to them and they want to hear what we think. If they feel the demand is there for Bebop and Rocksteady, and the show lasts long enough, then I really wouldn't be surprised if we seem them.

Question for those that attended the event in London, could you at all describe how the turtles sounded? For example, does Raph have an accent? How similar, if at all, does Mikey sound to Beast Boy? Does Ron's Donatello sound similar to any of his previous roles?

I just hope that the mass market part to their campaign doesn't take too much longer to get going. The turtles are popular, but with the first wave of toys already coming in August/September I feel they shouldn't wait too much longer before throwing advertisements out there. Part of the audience they are targeting doesn't really know much, if at all, about the turtles.

Whether or not they actually want to hear what we think they would have said that. I do believe that they genuinely want to know what us long-time fans think of the new series. Though I don't think us fans should take that for granted. They could just as easily ignore everything we say.

Exactly. I think there's enough demand to warrant some cameos for them, though I don't imagine they'll become main characters again (the new mutants fill that role). Regardless of any in-show appearance, I imagine Playmates will want to make toys for them to help fill in some future waves.

I think Season 2 is probably what they're saving some characters for. They more or less alluded to Casey Jones showing up in Season 2, I imagine Bebop and Rocksteady might as well.

The first season will probably establish the main characters, the most popular old villains, and the new mutants they want to promote.

Also sounds like the Triceratons will be saved for Season 2 as well, makes sense, the 4kids series did the same thing. And if we're really lucky hopefully we can get to see Usagi and maybe even Old Hob.

Hi, Im new here, been a lurker reading posts for some time. Firstly Id like to say I really liked the other 2 shows, I like the 2003 one more, even tho I grew up watching the 80s.

I think the new show looks interesting, my main concern is that it will be too kid friendly, and not much there for older fans. I understand many people here would like to see old school fan favourites return like Bebop and Rocksteady, and for what its worth so do I, but at the same time this series needs to establish its own unique feel and world and give us some thing fresh before they re hash some fav stories. I hope we see Bebop and Rocksteady later on in the series as regulars.
I think Slash needs to be used aswell.

Why do the UK have to wait till JAn for the new figs???? Is there any UK retailers selling them for august release???

The classics look awesome and the love the designs of th new tmnt, more in touch with the original comics, apart from the feet.
