I think the whole "Undergroud City" thing will become an important plot element in the next season.

Also, This reminds me of a true story I once read. It was in the encyclopedia of paranormal phenomenon.
In the early 1900s eastern Europe (I think Russia or Ukraine but I'm not sure) , two children, a boy and a girl, were found that had green skin. They were roughly around 7 years old. They spoke only in a language that was unrecognizable to ANYONE. It was not a known language!
The Boy died one year later, but the Girl grew-up, lost her green color, and learned to speak the local language. She also was very sexually promicuous!
When asked about her past, she'd speak of an underground city, where her whole race of green people dwelled! But, the city was never found. Kinda makes ya think, doesn't it?

Anyway, that's what this ep. reminded me of.

In the part 2 episode Quarry called the City of the Dead the Forbidden Zone. All I thought of was another series with a different Forbidden Zone. On SatAM Sonic there was a Forbidden Zone with a resting place of a Wizard and it was protected by a Grim Keeper like Charater. If you seen episode 5: Super Sonic you all would know what I'm talking about.

Info on Jack King Kirby: He was an artist that once worked for Stan Lee. He was Eastman & Laird's Favorite Artist. In the Donatello Mini Series he's a next door neighbor from April's Apartment. He'd found a crystal and when he attached it to his pencil he could create many increible things. More info on the 16 episode.

Remember, this is an underground city. Bottle rockets only scare off space aliens!

I enjoyed Part 3 alot more than Part 1. Part 2 was nice because of how the TMNT were introduced to Quarry and his (or uh, her) fellow mutations.

I got such a kick out of Part 3, especially the way the antagonist seemed to be emlininating each of the turtles one by one. Infact, I saw the very same scenario used in an old issue of the Archie series titled "The Keeper" where this alien dude was abducting all sorts of various earth creatures in order to save them.

I loved this whole story arc. For something that is 100% completely original to this toon, it was absolutely fantastic. I enjoyed it way more than I was expecting to.

I was so happy to see Mikey saving the day again (even after he let out his 3rd (?) girly scream of the series .. and then later complains that Splinter only covered his mouth so he wouldn't scream! ). And I was disappointed I didn't hear a Dr. Doom crack from him. 'Cause really, everytime he was on screen I was going, "Oh, there's Dr. Doom!"

Loved how the guys covered their eyes as it was .. revealed .. that Quarry was actually a she (and I loved that she was a she! Reminds me of Metroid).

And Raph freaking out when Don and then Leo disappeared was perfect.

first episodes I've seen

These three are the first episodes I've seen of the new series. I like it. A lot. The plot is really good. There is actually martial arts, unlike the original cartoons. Though the pilot of the original is good; I heard parents complained about the violence level and that's why it did a 180.
And I'm glad they went back to their roots; a friend online tells me the new cartoon is based off of the original comics. It's about time.

Quarry was a girl... um kay... Do you think the mutantion actually altered her gender or did she just have a really messed up voice? So do you suppose the foot are heading down to the underground city? Looks like that may have been the case.

Here's an idea. They could use pull one of the cyrstals off and keep them with them all the time and then they could walk around freely (I think) outside of the city.

Man the people that wrote this thing are plain crazy... and must like horror movies.

I think this 3 parter was very good. Plot was good, and the mystery of the lair was solved It was complettely original story but brough back the sci-fi element wuch was there in Original TMNT. So next episode will be based on the Donatello one shot? Can't wait!

There's a possibility. It is sometimes common for women to have masculine voices, or men to have feminine voices. When I first learned the drive thru at work, there was actually a rule in the book that you shouldn't call a customer "sir" or "ma'am" just by the sound of their voice.

I thought so too, but when you think about it, there's no way they could do that cause people would see them wearing those things and they'd wonder what was going on.

I myself would like to know about this race that built the city. Obviously they aren't human. How do they relate to the rest of the plot, if at all? I'd be dissapointed if they don't come up again or aren't explained at some point.

Tha guy was the sole survivor, I doubt we will be seeing them again. But the TMNT might return to the underground city at some point.

Yesterday's episode was truly great. And after the Donatello One-Shot episode, it's the LEONARDO One-Shot. I just can't wait!!!

I think she would have noticed if her gender had changed. The mutation altered just about everything about her, including her vocal system. The other mutates didn't even talk, perhaps they couldn't, they had been altered so extremely.

Yep, that crossed my mind too. But really, I think that would have been a cop out at this point. They'll probably try that later on. Whether we see it in an ep or not, who knows.

I was rewatching the three-parter with my siblings, who had missed it due to a birthday party. I'm still getting those "things don't add up" vibe from the whole thing. Of course, my mind refuses to believe the writers screwed up, it's much more fun to theorize. First we meet our three mutate friends, then four of "the others". Quarry confirmed that there used to be even more of them at one point.

Yet only six humans were with the Turtles at the end. *insert Mikey's monster movie scary oo-ee-oo sound thing* Plus, the "Keeper" (that's what I'm gonna be calling the alien guy) said his race built the city, but what about before then? Did he even say his race were the ones to build the city?

Man, this really, really makes me wanna write a spin-off story.

I don't think the guy was an alien. He was a sole survivor of a race older then man, yeah I think he said they build the city. Natrual selection prefered the surface and thats why the race has been extinct.

About the lost mutants, maybe they weren't fast enough and the mindless once got them. Seems very likely to me.

I think it's good that the Turtles and Splinter are spending sometime with April. It maybe good that she appears once awhile. And it's good that she does have a life instead of be involved in every episode. Unlike the original this one does have a more basic role. Well you get the idea what I mean.
