Gunn probably should have started by announcing a film slate that made sense for cultivating an audience.

And then he probably should have announced it in conjunction with a trailer for the first movie instead of waiting for years to get anything out there. It's just not looking good so far....

"Paradise Lost" is cancelled, apparently.

The slate is really falling apart.

It's safe to say The Authority and Amanda Waller show are dead too, and Peacemaker isn't getting a Season 3 although he'll show up somewhere else. Is the Swamp Thing show still happening?

All that's left is Green Lantern and that Clayface movie they're making for some reason. Also a Booster Gold show?

Allegedly it was due to music they thought they'd had secured but then it turns out they didn't and the trailer got yanked by copyright.

Which is disappointing, if true. When I heard about it going down I thought with hope, "Oh wow! They want to erase that trailer from history so that they can 'fix' the show and then put out a real trailer!"

Because they clearly want this new universe to fail miserably. That was clear going as far back as the original slate announcement.

Official spin is both are still in development hell, but aren't at present a priority.

The crappy reeves movies are elseworld movies ie in their own universe. TB&TB wouldn’t affect it. Also that post is a joke

Or a "random team-up movie that includes Batman unrelated to a series of Batman movies currently releasing one movie every 6 years."

But actually there's no Batman movie I'd prefer RATHER than a Batman movie unrelated to that horrible "The Batman" movie. I can't imagine much worse than more of that.

It wasn't a bad idea on an IDEA level. You can write up the synopsis of the whole movie and it could sound potentially very good. But that was a brain dead script executed abysmally and boringly, doubling down on the worst aspects of the otherwise pretty good Nolan movies.

That movie felt like Nolan-fan-fic to be honest. It was like a parody that took itself seriously for the coffee-house kids.
