I kinda thought The mindless mutants kinda looked like uglier versions of the smart ones.

I'd say the news reporter April's role was more basic since she had a reason for being there while the April of the new series is just one of their random friends. But in both cases, the one thing that makes her stand out is the fact that she was the first human they ever met.

Aprild did have a little bigger role in Mirage, but atleast now she isn't in every episode and involved with everything the TMNT do. And April isn't just a random friend, they moved to live with her after all. Seems to me we will be seeing more of her from now on.

the best part of this whole episode was the mikey-quarry thing.

first when quarry hides in the shadow and mike gets scared. then mike says "mutate some backbone." quarry then says "there he is" and mikey lets out the biggest girly scream ever

then stands there annoyed and pulls out quarry from the shadows

then when they are going on that scooter when the saw the alien mikey takes off and then comes back for quarry (and he has that annoyed look on his face again)

but the best part was the first one with the girly scream. that had me laughing so hard

This does change the way we think of the plot. There's so much happening the Foot, The crystals, Utroms, The keeper/Last of THEM. If the Utroms and Guardians aren't involed at the underground city is it possible that somewhere at T.C.R.I. were the Utroms are hidding? Since episode 25 & 26 would have them at some point.

Yes,... I agree with you had to say. April would appear in the next one, the country side episodes, and probably the Return to N.Y. one. We'll be seing Casey Jones again soon.

What I couldn't help but wonder was when they found out Quarry was really a she, if Mike felt bad about slapping her earlier.

I'm so glad that there are so many things going on in the plot. You never have a minute to get bored. God bless those writers.

Indeed. Writing team behind new TMNT is one of the best if not the best I've seen in cartoons.

I missed the first episode due to my college graduation. I got to watch the 2nd episode but I had to sneak around.....due to my family. I also missed most of the third episode. The 2nd one was not too bad but I wish that I got to see the first episode so that I knew what was going on in the 2nd episode.

Where can I dowload the first "Notes from the Underground" episode. My stupid modem is not very fast at times. Or I can wait for the new DVD when it does come out.

Irc is the best place, but I wont suggest it if you have a modem. The episodes are between 10o and 200 megs so it would take a long time.

April will definatly become a more visible character in the next 8 episodes. Since in the detailed plot synopsis she's actually mentioned in most of them. I'm glad, it will be nice to see her pop up a bit more regularly.

Well, Casey's definatly going to be in 18, 19, and 20. Other then that, who knows. But I'd rather see a bit more of April then Casey. I've never been a fan of Mr. Jones.
