Wow, nice catch, VA. I totally forgot about the fact that April was flunking Trig. Maybe she got better at it with Donnie's help so she was able to tutor Casey.

Also, I find it ironic that people are mad that April won't forgive the Turtles, yet this is helping to give her character development, something a lot of people on this board were complaining about before.

I also find it interesting that so many are rushing to the defense of the Turtles' emotional shortcomings/mistakes, but when it comes to their other allies (Splinter, April, and Timothy) if they are anything less than perfect they start harping on them.

With April: "She's totally irrational and needs to forgive the Turtles." ...Even though her life has been shattered for the third time, and this third time is caused by the Turtles' partial responsibility when they wanted Kirby's help in his PTSD condition.
With Splinter: "He's way too strict on the Turtles with discipline." ...Even though the Shredder and every other villain is trying to kill them, and Splinter had lost his family (wife and Miwa/Karai) to Shredder before.
With Timothy/Mutagen Man: "He's a dumb, overenthusiastic fanboy." "He's a homicidal blob." ...Even though the Turtles sent this untrained boy to spy on Shredder, and Donnie had to whine about April day and night to Mutagen Man. Mutagen Man wouldn't have been terrorizing the city and looking for April if Donnie wasn't talking about it.

Yes, I know the incidents with Kirby, Timothy's transformation, and Mutagen Man terrorizing the city were unexpected/accidental, but when are these Turtles going to accept some responsibility for the unforeseen recklessness they cause? At least Donnie is showing that with Timothy/Mutagen Man... as for the other three Turtles, they got a looong way to go.

I guess that's part of the teenage aspect of the Nick TMNT series perhaps. They won't realize how devastating their decisions/actions can be unless somehow these repercussions start to directly affect them. One example in real life would be drunk teenage drivers, sure they don't mean to cause destruction, injury, or death and would feel remorse but they can't truly understand the weight of the loss until they themselves are injured or someone they care about is injured/killed by the same action.

True, it is giving April development, but she's basically developing into a character I couldn't give two flips about.

Give it half this season. I'll be surprised if this continues into S3.

She'll probably need their help in "Target: April O'Neil". Maybe that'll do the trick

I really could care less when she forgives them because it'll take time, and I don't want it to be rushed.

April can't just forgive the turtles quickly. In my view it makes her more of a superficial character if that were to happen - someone who isn't willing to stand her ground after taking a position. Others might see her as stubborn but she clearly blames the turtles for what happened to her father so if she was to forgive and forget so easily and with minimal effort on the boys' part then it would be an example of a female character being treated incorrectly in fiction i.e. it would perpetuate the stereotype that women are emotionally unstable and change their minds as often as the weather. I don't want that message being sent out to the female kids who watch the show. It would also undermine April's loyalty to her dad.

Sorry if this point has already been raised - I haven't read the thread.

Am I the only one that thinks that Donnie/April picture will pop back up again at some point?

If the police were right there when Mutagen Man lost it, it's possible the police may have took for evidence and could show up on the news.

If so, so much for April's normal life...

Do you really think that would happen, that's a bit detailed for a children's show. Next episode has to focus on Casey and April, either that or Donny will meet Casey as a matter of stalking him.

Lol, it wouldn't surprise me.
Since the last 2 episodes were more serious I guess the next one might be nice little side adventure. But I still think Casey will feature. They can't just introduce him and then do nothing with him in the next episode.

They've done it with a lot of the other characters, so I don't see why Casey would be treated any differently. Plus, the acne episode takes place mostly in the lair, so the chances of Casey appearing are slim to none. He'll most likely appear again in "Target: April O' Neil".

Guess I haven't seen anything about the new episode yet. Still it should be amusing.
Hopefully they put Timothy on a wall in the lair like Han Solo, frozen.

Why would you say it's too "detailed" for a kid's show?

That's like saying "Why would they make an episode called "The Pulverizer Returns"? Kids won't remember who The Pulverizer is."

That assumes that children read or even care about the title of a show.
I'm pretty sure all children want is to see the turtles kick butt and be funny. The details have never been that important in children's shows. The whole photo thing just sounded a bit too much like an issue that would raise more questions like, are all the poeple in the city going to go into hiding until the police catch this mutagen man. That would make too much sense for a children's show and is therefore too complicated. Turtles plus cool stuff is all that there needs to be and that's what this last epsiode had. No need to over think it.

I pointed out the probability of it showing up in Target: April O'Neil.

Unlike the other photos on Donnie's photo wall, that photo has a likelyhood of reappearing. There was far to much focus on it not to.

Well, in "Follow the Leader", Karai stated to Leo she still has bad blood against him based on the events of "Enemy of My Enemy" in Season 1. I think it's safe to say the writers are thinking hard about this stuff and it's also clear the kids are buying into it.

Just saying.
