I saw three cats and a raccoon on the way to work today. Considering that I normally don't see anything other than common birds, this was a pleasant anomaly.

Got some work done on one of my chapters for my fan fic. It's not complete yet, but at least I made progress on it after being stuck in writer's block for a long time. I hate when that happens.

Job has changed the work week from 5 day 8 hour work weeks to 5 day 9 hours for one week, 4 day 9 hours for the second week and we now get every other Friday off. Plus with Labor Day this Monday, I got a 4 day holiday! Yay!

Going out today and getting multiple compliments on my hair, having a walk by the beach, having a lovely vegetarian omelette and banana smoothie, and catching up with my Mum and kid sis. Then, having a relaxy night in with my boo, watching Miami Ink.

Found some awesome early Nintendo Power magazines at the flea market plus some NES & Atari 2600 manuals at the flea market today. My buddy got there first so he snagged the original Atari achievement patch complete with the letter congratulating the recipient. I was crazy jealous that he got to it first, but very happy for him, he's so stoked to have finally found one- I've never seen one in real life either... Cool day!

Real Madrid being 2-0 up after half an hour away to Real Sociedad but losing the game 4-2.
For those unacquainted with football/soccer: Real Madrid are the world's biggest club by most estimations (they spend an absolute fortune on marquee players), and Sociedad are a good team but really just a medium-sized club, certainly not on the level of RM. So this is funny, especially as I generally consider Real Madrid an overrated team. Edit: just seen Jester's photo of his son. The shirt is bigger than he is lol. Very cute kid mate.
