I voted for my fave Raph. Especially from the moments (the rescue, April thanking Raph on TV) in the original movie. As for the whole topic itself of romance in the turtle realm, I'm not bothered by it. I guess the reason I'm okay with it is that we've seen stuff LIKE this done before (okay, not the sex part, but the attraction/romance part). Like Hellboy, Star Trek series, even the blind girl with The Thing in the new Fantastic Four. There are many more examples, so of course fans of the TMNT would have those questions/thoughts. The "what if" question. The main point is, everybody has their opinion on the matter. Some will outright be disgusted with it, others will be totally opposite. There is NO WRONG ANSWER. It's called opinion, that's the whole point of the forum. Me, I'm okay with it. I'm more of the "don't matter if underneath is beautiful" motif/cliche. Is that bubbleheaded, disgusting, or dumb of me? Oh well, easy come and easy go.

some one mentioned that the turtles took their time covering their eyes up when this girl who was a monster before turned back into a human and she was naked. Well my only responce to that is turtle or not they are still teenage males and I don't think they are going to pass up a freebie in the rare cases that it happens.

Plus I don't think Splinter lets them watch HBO or R rated movies where nuddity could happen. Actually given the turtles sheltered up bringing I wonder just how much about sexuality they actually know about. Maybe the turtles are all just tottally innocent and just don't know about that sort of thing.

I like to think of the Turtles as normal guys as far as personality... but I really dunno about relationships. To me it breaks up what makes the Turtles appealing at all - their family connection. Girlfriends, etc. get in the way of all that by distracting one or more of the brothers.

As for the Quarry thing... I don't know if being teenage males would necessarily make them want to oogle just because she wasn't wearing anything. First and foremost, I'd like to think Splinter taught them more about honor than that. Second, seeing as they're 1) mutated and 2) turtle-based, how are we sure they'd be attracted to a human woman? They may act and feel "human," sure... but should we assume they'd be attracted to one?

Maybe a better adjective for the Turtles is "sentient" rather than "human" for that reason. They look humanoid and have feelings and personalities, but they aren't necessarily human-derived... But then again, when we have only ourselves to compare to, it may be hard to think of it in any other terms.

If that made any sense at all

My 2 cents:
* Exposing your enjoyment loudly because of seeing Quarry's nudity would be much of impoliteness, don't you think? They are heroes in the half-shells, so they should remain classy in every situation... But that scene you're mentioning would be far more realistic if one of them tried to peep through his fingers. That would be quite funny and teenage-like and might be quite appreciated by elder viewers. But as we all know, that show is primarly targeted to kids so there's no place for actions like that.

*Turtles may not be attracted by human nudity! Shocking for the rabid fan-girls... Remember "Fallen Angel" episode? Remember Raph's comment on Leo's dissatisfaction with having to fight with that lousy clothes on?
Raphael said: Ya ever see a human in his skivies? Trust me, it ain't a pretty sight! Two generalized ideas may come from that. First, Raph has already seen human nudity (where are you wandering on the surface, sir? ), so he's not that innocent. Second - he's not infatuated by it - probably because it's not of his own species.

Thus spake Robweiller...

Is it true that April had to resort to prostitution in one of the comic books?

I heard that she got fired one time and she had no way to make ends meet so she was out on the streets half-naked in some skimpy stockings, a short skirt, and a revealing blouse to try and pay the bills.

Apparently, Raphael ran into her, and he happened to have a few bucks on him at the time so they went to a hotel for a little while. Hmmm... I wonder what happened, lol.

Maybe April really DID have Raphael's baby, but I don't know if their son's name is really Gordy.

I don't know...
The whole idea about the TMNT not being attracted to humans because they're not humanoid reptiles is a little difficult to accept considering a number of things...

One... Human beings are the closest thing to what the TMNT are. Ask yourself this... Would the TMNT rather live in the city with people, or live in a freakin' marsh with turtles??
Dispite their animalistic features, the guys are very "human" in every other way. Truth is I actually know plenty of people who are more primal and animalistic than the TMNT.
Like really... Are the TMNT any less sophisticated and civilized than everyone else because they're not pure human?

Two... If the TMNT lived on a remote island and only heard of humans, then I can understand that they might be weirded out by them.
But since they actually live in one of the biggest and most populated cities in the world, not to mention they watch TV and movies, and read literature such as magazines. These things influence the media (especially adolecents) to what's hot and attractive.

Seriously, if I was suddenly stuck on a world where people had blue skin, tails, and horns sticking out of their heads, it wouldn't take me long to get used to them, plus, I would soon after be picking out some attractive ones out of the bunch.

I think that in some small part of their spiritual essence, the turtles would indeed like to live in a marshland setting with non-mutated species of their ilk. I don't think they'd do that permanently, but rather prefer it as a vacation as opposed to Disneyland or some other more human-based attraction.

As for their adoption of the general populace mindset of what's hot, I'd like to think that they have more iintelligence to know that they can humor the notion rather than act on it.

And being stuck on a world with blue folks with tails and horn means aliens, not humanoid turtles. There's a subtle difference there, don't you think?

Giving this more thought, within canon universes, I’m not sure that the Turtles even have the same need for “companionship” that we may. It really does depend on the universe, writer, and necessity within the plot. As TMNT is mostly action-based, romance would be jarring, and unnecessary. My biggest problem with romance within the TMNT multiverse is that most of the times it does seem forced and is usually out of character and awkward for those involved. (April and Casey excluded…mostly…)

But I still don’t see how humans are more or less different than the other species that the Turtles have found attractive and gotten together with. Now, if one were to argue that most humans wouldn’t find the Turtles attractive, that seems obvious, since they have attractive humans to compare them to. But I did always wonder where Raph got the knowledge of what a “human in his skivvies” looked like. (Notice, though, he does say “his”. )

I did grow up on Star Trek, so I’ve probably been desensitized to the idea of interspecies relationships in fiction. I mean, it’s just fiction…

I think Raph accidently walked in on Casey in the shower or something like that.

Raph DID date a humanoid fox in the Archie series. A fox is not a Turtle either.

And, Neobix, there is no such story in the comics. You do know the difference between a Doujinshi /Fan comic, and a real official comic, right?

Oh, man! If they got a letter like that!

Yeah, TMNT DNA and human DNA are not compatible.

Like I said earlier, not even Clark Kent can have a baby with a human female.

Isn't it that the only two animals able to have a baby together are a horse and a donkey? Even so, their baby cant have babies when it grows up.

<_< haha lets see some hooved mutants

Being a turtle keeper, turtles have wangs...very large wangs...I breed Rhinochlemmys Pulcherrima Manni...Donnie has a big wang, he keeps Jessie happy.
So does Mike..and Raph...they're yearling male res ears.

Turtles have tails...poo comes out of there and they tinkle from there too.
Did you know their wangs are not needed for peepee.

Ok I answered a stupid questions.

But that doesn't mean it has to be true in the wonderful universe of fanfiction we are free to twist however we want. Looking at this from a real scientific perspective as we are, who really knows how much of their DNA structure is still turtle, and what's changed to human. For all we know, we could be completely off base, and they are compatible. Unfortunately, such knowledge is unattainable, not to mention impossible.

...Not one to actually throw out a bone, but there's this BITCHING Rescue Rangers fan comic that not only acknowledges aspects of the series continuity and characters, it also gives Gadget and Chip a reason to breed children using an episode from the series as a fundimental reason, the one where thier heads and bodies switched around erraticlly throwing some of Chips' DNA into Gadgets, rearranging her gene structure upon return to normalacy

Rescue Rangers Away in every sense of the way...

http://www.electricfishmusic.com/216.html

There's more of it, back and front. Its' probably the greatest thing to come out of the distrubing fan shrines for Gadget Hackenwrench...
