It's been another while...
Since the last update I've gotten a fair amount of things but most importantly a daughter! I don't have the pics uploaded at the moment but I'm preparing her to love the turtles as any good father would. The day she was born I gave her a turtle 'Nuk' and took a picture to which I got a nice "Congratulations!" message from the Eastmans via facebook - it made me smile and I'll put that in her scrapbook! So anyway here are the non-offspring additions to my life... TOYS: I've gotten a few Turtle Toys here and there... Spoiler:
Cyber Shredder, Supermutant Shredder, and a big score of the Black Mail-Away Shredder Spoiler:
Added a COMPLETE Metal Mutant Shredder and Raphael to my previous ones NON-Turtle Items... Spoiler:
I scored two full/complete sets of Kenner Ghostbusters which I need to make room in my GB cabinet for. They are Fright Features Series 1 & Slimed Heroes. Additionally I got my second to last 4Horsement sculpted, Masters of the Universe SSSQUEEEZE Staction. Really happy about these non-tmnt scores. COMICS & PRINTS: I have a HUGE haul coming my way because I havent visited my not-so-local comic shop in Ohio since May. I can't wait to update after that visit which will bring me up-to-date with everything IDW that I have on hold but while waiting for that visit I figured I'd work on getting some other missing issues as well as starting to collect all the Mirage Trades which I always passed on. Spoiler:
Some of these too A LOT of work to track down... Row 1: TMNT Collected SoftCover First Print, Image #1 Con Exclusive, Tales of TMNT #32 Wayne Center Variant, TMNT Movie Sneak Peek, Tales of TMNT Treasury Edition Row 2: Montreal CC #44 & #45, Micro Raph & Don Sketch Variants Row 3: IDW Limited SHotFC Alex D Cover (Thanks DrSpengler!), Casey & April Con & Hastings Exclusives, Animated #1 RI Cover, and UTMNT Fan Comic #1 Spoiler:
Also like a few others on the Drome I took advantage to get this Hero's Initiative Kevin Eastman Print, Signed, and limited to 300. So... With this post my collection is feeling even more complete. I currently own every print, misprint, cover variant, exclusive for... Mirage Volume 1 Mirage Volume 2 Mirage Volume 4 Mirage Tales of TMNT V1 Mirage Tales of TMNT V2 Image Volume 3 I am actively working on the Mirage Trades, Palladium RPG Books, and anything IDW from the ongoing, animated, micros/ mini cover variants that I'm missing but the list keeps getting smaller!

Before showing off the new stuff I figured Id share some old items that I never had the chance to. I rearranged all my cels in a portfolio. I used to have them hanging around my old display room but ever since my move they've just been sitting in a box. If anyone wants to play the fun game of identifying what episode some of these are from I'm hoping to go through and add labels to each cel.

one more set of cels...
Spoiler:
And older trades, magazines, & books that I finally bagged and boarded Spoiler:
Onto the new stuff! I finally had a chance to make it to my comic shop in Ohio. Additionally I have some stuff here from other transactions. IDW Spoiler:
#1 RI-D Eastman Sketch, #2 Newstand Ed., Mikey Micro RI-A, #44 3rd print, #45, #47-#49 all covers, Casey/April #1-#3 all covers, Mutanimals #3, #4 all covers, TMNTNAA #20 AmazingCon Ex, #22-24 all covers, TMNTAA #1 both covers, Color Classics #2-#4, and a random Sam & Max comic from the 80s Spoiler:
Here is the Eastman Sketch. Because I have Donatello for both the #1 and #22 sketch cover, Id be willing to trade one of them for a different turtle or character. Various Mirage/ Other Publishers Spoiler:
Volume 4, #1 2nd print, Grunts, Plastron Cafe #1-#4, Row of misc publications including Creed, Savage Dragon & Flaming Carrot, Collected Books #1(signed by Laird)-#7, Tales Collected, Shell Shock, Souls Winter, Tales Treasurey Lastly - a non TMNT score. I am the only collector of the Dinosaucers franchise on this forum I think and when it comes to rare items this property from the 80s takes the cake in my collection. I managed to obtain 1 of the 8 original prototypes by Galoob. Galoob originally sculpted 8 characters, 5 of which were produced by a Brazilian company, Glasslite, in the late 80's. The following happens to be one of the 3 that were never produced and this is 1 of maybe 3 in the world. It may not mean much to anyone here but in the world of vintage toy collecting this is a hot item. This prototype is offically the rarest and most expensive item in my entire collection. I have big plans for it eventually. Galoob 1987 unproduced Dinosaucers "Plesio" prototype Spoiler:

Awesome stuff, dude. Love how varied your cel collection is, it's awesome seeing so many secondary characters, especially the punk frogs, Wingnut/Screwloose, & Robotic Bebop!

I love your collection. It just keeps growing and getting better and better.
Really like how you have put your cells into a binder for safe keeping and easily display. I'll 2nd Powder's remark, really enjoy seeing all the secondary characters (and their variety). |

Thanks guys. I made a strong effort a long time ago to get 1
Of every character but unfortunately those secondary characters don't pop up often. I got mad at myself when I forgot to bid on a mutagen man cel and missed it. I haven't bought a cel since because I never see secondary characters anymore.

I'll be doing a rather large update in January. 2 months worth of finds, some of which includes cels. Been busy being a dad!

I don't normally post here since but had to in this case. Your office is a stereotypical super fan collection which while awesome in its own right I wouldn't like to actually have.
Your entertainment room however is amazing, love it. I really like that you can see the things that you are passionate about but it doesn't overwhelm you either and that Alf plush nails the mood of the place. |

Maybe I should've worded that differently, I was trying to complement your entertainment room. What I meant to say is that while I wouldn't want a huge collection like the ones usually posted here or other fan forums your living room is something that I would like. And I think the office collection is awesome too don't get me wrong, I just couldn't deal with all the clutter myself. Different strokes for different folks though. I meant no offence.

Yeah I didn't think you meant to and I didn't try to take it that way. Ha but I don't like being s stereotype. Anyway the entertainment room is there to show a glimpse of my interests for people to enjoy when I'm entertaining but my office is all for me. In the small space I have I was able to fit a lot of stuff without much overlap. Believe me I'd prefer some more breathing room but I'll do that in my next house. This is a stepping stone. Plus I also look at people like Kevin Eastman. His offices have always been filled with both his creations and things he love. I just really enjoy taking a break from working on something and spinning around in my chair to see it all. Anyway as full as things might be I do pride myself on the organization of it all. I'm ocd about all franchises having their own shelf or shelves versus intertwining it all. I see a lot of collections that are just shelves Of a bunch of miscellaneous toy lines or so much stuff on one shelf you can't see What is in the back. The pictures may not show it but everything in my cases can be looked at easily.
