Yes i definitely caught the dad and sister part, and I do hope they explore it eventually. Seems clear to me that nick threw that in there to give them something cool to work with down the line when we eventually get to meet her. I like that they seem to be expanding the world a little bit. So many of the human characters in TMNT seem to have no family other than parents, why not have some siblings in the mix? They don't have to play a big part, though someday they could.

Man imagine how beastly Casey can be if Splinter trains him. His raw power and fighting is quite impressive. I think I've watched all his fight scenes at least 20 times now lol.

Nice introduction to Casey Jones. I like his mask but it feels weird it not being his regular mask. It's like changing Superman's colors for the sake to be different. Good episode but I don't understand why the show is so conservative in some things like this and so radical in others.

Thanks for reminding me! I sort of gave it a little thought but totally forgot about that bit due to studying for exams and all that. Fiance mentioned his expression briefly but we didn't think much about the implications until you guys brought it back up.

It was probably to show he wants to protect his family. I guess you can say the same about his dad with that logic.

I could say that this Casey is probably the best incarnation of him so far, and that is REALLY a surprise to me, even it not being an adult, he still kicking butts.

But I'm hoping from the bottom of my heart that they manage to keep different plots for Casey and April, cause the 2003's Casey was badass in the begining of the show, he had a lot of different plots for his own, and always helped the turtles. But reached a point in the show that he simply didn't appear anymore, and when eventually the writers remember of him, was just for being a romantic par with April and that really pissed me off.

Hope that doesn't happen to this Casey and April, and both continue to have their own history without always engaging each other.

Man this ep was like a love letter to pretty much any fan of TMNT, no matter what the incarcation. It referenced the creators. It paid huge homage to the 4Kids intro of Casey. It referenced the comics. It even paid homage to Taxi Driver! Even Irma showed up! I was sorta torn on Casey, up until this point. But now I have so say that I totally dig him! I hope they don't use him sparingly. There is a reason that Casey has always been one of my favorite characters and this ep is a good reminder of why. Great episode if you ask me but I'm sure you had already gathered that.

For all we know he's taken martial arts classes before, or hell, has been in enough street fights to have learned how to defend himself. Unlike April, who never told Splinter she'd ever learned any sort of martial art before he offered to train her, we don't know that Casey is going into this totally blind.
very true. The hockey background helps - Im sure hes seen his fair share of Scraps , Body Checks and Fist fights on the ice/ (street hockey) one learns quickly that they gotta keep their head up or you are going to get run over.

Awesome episode, and nice solid intro for the Character.(my fav version of him yet)

Not to mention the huge nod to the first movie with the rooftop scene. Even Raphael's motions were exactly the same from the first movie with the same kicks and then putting his arms against the flat roof.

I hope we see more homages to the first movie or other incarnations.

Yeah by the time I got to posting this some of it had slipped my mind and I was so excited that I couldn't retain it all. LOL. What's cool about that is that the first movie is my favorite TMNT thing ever. So any time they pay homage to it I'm gonna really love that. I also forgot to mention the fact that I LOVE the Footbots because they allow the Turtles to use their weapons in really violent ways that they wouldn't be able to if the Foot Soldiers were actually human. When Splinter literally knocked one of their heads off and the "oil" started squirting out I literally yelled out "YEAH!" I mean that is really edgy for a "kids show" ya know? Also do you think the "users are LOSERS" sign was an homage to the old Anti-Drug ads the original Turtles would do?

Yeah that was awesome. I think my favorite thing might have been the Eastman and Laird written on his gear. I wonder if they will be there for the whole series or if they just did that for this one ep?

It'll probably be there for the whole series, unless he gets a new stick.

I actually just looked at my new Casey figure just to make sure it wasn't on there. It wasn't. LOL.

I know people involved with the Nick show want to keep that world outside of the IDW universe. But what if Casey's dad does turn out to be Hun?

I wouldn't want that to happen because I have never liked that character.

That would be cool, but Hun isn't at the top of my list of characters I want to appear.
