As they reached the man-hole, Randi jestered for Mike to go first: Age before beauty--be sides, she wasn't sure what was waiting out there and she was in no condition to fight.

God, each breath hurt, was she sure she was up to this?

Raphael gave Randi a slightly worried look but again didn't vocalize his concerns.

He still wasn't exactly sure what to think about Randi; part of him liked her--she was cool not to mention cute too--but part of him couldn't bring himself to trust her. The fact that she had refused to tell them her story made him more suspicious of her: how were they to know that this wasn't all a trap and that those 'demons' that Mike talked about and this Li weren't in on it?

He let Randi climb up and followed after her.

It couldn't be a trap, that wound on Randi's chest was too real... it wasn't something she intentionally let happen; he saw the pain that she was trying to hide in her odd colored eyes--she wasn't doing a good job of it. It must really hurt to breath.

Okay, so maybe he should trust the girl a bit more; besides, if she really did turn out to be good... he smirked inwardly only to scowl.

Nah, she'd most likely go for Mike anyways.

Randi stood next to Mike as Raph, Don and Leo climbed out of the sewers, "Okay... still daylight, but we can... still make it there... with out being seen... every one ready?"

Donatello held out a hand, "Wait a minute..."

He cracked his knuckles and popped his neck. "Ah... now I'm ready. How 'bout you Mikey?" Donatello asked as he turned his attention to Michaelangelo.

Michelangelo raised an eyeridge at Raph and Don's little bone-popping spectacle. "Yeah, I'm ready to go if you two Keanus are finished.... and remember, there is no spoon."

He laughed jovially at his brothers.

All kidding aside though, Mike could still sense that Randi was in pain. And a LOT of it.

"Ummm... Randi?" he said with a sincere tone, "you should really let me help you... what with those injuries and all....."

Donatello also had that concern deep within him. But he had a feeling that she would be all right. But it was only a feeling. He wanted to help too, but Randi seemed more of the independent type. So with that thought in mind, he waited for a response.

Randi gnashed her teeth together, keeping her temper in check. "I'll be fine," She replied.

"If I need any help, I'll ask; now come on."

ZIP!

CLANK!

The pulled up ladder of a fire escape was now drawn out and read to be climped.

Randi, grumbling under her breath, jumped up and grabbed the bottom step; she pulled herself up to reach the next and the next until she was able to use her feet for leverage and reached the first landing. She didn't even look back to see that the guys were following, she was sure they were.

As Randi reached the top rung, Michelangelo stood perched upon the ledge of the building and extended his right hand in aid. It had taken him all of two seconds to reach the top of the building.

Donatello climbed the ladder behind Michaelangelo, then reached the top rung. He looked down at Raph, "Come on man... it's game time!"

Raphael climbed after Donatello and grabbed for Donatello's reached hand. Donatello pulled him up to the surface. Raphael dusted himself off and looked at Donatello, "Clear View, here we come."

Randi blinked twice, surprised to see Mike waiting for her at the top; she muttered something in a language tha sounded like a dialect of French and begrudingly took his hand.

"Thanks." She muttered, saying nothing more.
