I don't read the bee thing as slapstick. Obviously it's not "The TMNT then decapitate Baxter, thus saving the day" but it comes across to me that his new armor is impenetrable, except for a small area where Leo is able to smash a bee hive into. Thus stopping him.

I could be wrong, it could play out like a 3 Stooges sketch, but that wasn't how I read it.

So nobody has seen any Foot Ninja yet?

It's because it's based on an older, incorrect romanization style that was still widely used in the '80's, when that book was published. It's just that old habits die hard for some, and you'll still see "jitsu" pop up instead of "jutsu" from time-to-time.

They've just started working on it, they don't even have all the characters done in CG yet.

There are half a dozen production jobs available for this show on the Nick Careers page, and Cyber's squawking as if the episodes are already in the can.

Thats like pre-teen April...not a big fan of that but I'd be ok with it but I do wish they aged her a little bit..
