The scale is awesome. I always felt the Cheapskate was HUGE as a kid. This looks a bit more "right".

It's based on the retro figures (4" figure, not 6") but wasn't originally released with the OT. The Mechs have been referenced throughout several of these threads. They aren't overly popular, but they are over-priced. Not Playmates best choice for a "retro" vehicle. They should have gone with a more recognizable vehicle with a lower price point, IMO. It's not like there weren't many to choose from!

They are currently available in Toys R Us stores across the US. I can't speak of any TRUs outside the US.

I found Shredder #2! While I've already reviewed the SDCC Shredder, I thought I'd give this guy the ol' once over as well.

I actually like him better. Basically the same figure (few minor paint changes) and about 1/4 of the price!

I don't have this problem but maybe because I put them in sealed bags after using them. I constantly pulled them out of the robots too. I have about 8 Kraangs.

Thanks for the review and pictures! I much prefer it to the SDCC one. The mass release figure has a nice finish on the armour and I just think the vacuum metalisation looks tacky on the SDCC exclusive variant. It's a shame as I normally like the effect.

No problem! I definitely think I do too, although I like the additional paint aps on the chest armor of the SDCC version.

Am I the only one that was unaware that the original run of mutagen were coded to signify which green shaded mini figure they were packaged with???? I could've had a whole set by now! I'm slow apparently.

Don't base your base your judgement of Raph on this particular Raph. Discogod gave him a custom paint job since his original paint apps were jacked and Disco's Raph puts all the rest to shame! But in answer to your question their heads are made out of the same material as the rest of them- the rubbery plastic (versus the hard plastic). But not soft pliable rubber.
