I wonder what character could Lucy Lawless play? TMNT has a lot of female characters, both humans and mutants.

Oh heavens no!

But adding Angel would be pretty spectacular, though. Maybe in the Mutant v. Human arc???

There are references to Venus in the 2012 show. In Return to New York Raph painted a "Venus" artwork on the side of the Party Wagon and the recent female Mikey image from The Fourfold Trap. Maybe the writers want the fans to let their guard down and then when the fans least expect it, BOOM! Venus is in 2012 show!

I personally don't care about Venus.

I wouldn't mind them bringing Vam Mi into the series.
She'd fit in rather well with the horror element this show has going.

I didn't say Angel will be Nobody in the 2012 show. I assume her origin will be different from other versions. It's the same with other characters. Heck Kurtzman may be Nobody for all I care. lol.

But, we'll have to see how it all plays out. Quite personally, I'm excited!
This episode was aired months ago, so it's fairly recent. But MLP had an episode called Tanks for the Memories.

In the episode Rainbow Dash learns her pet tortoise Tank was getting ready to hibernate. However hibernation was used as an allegory for death in this case.
And through out the episode Dash goes through the five stages of grief.

Denial-

Refusing to accept that Tortoise's and Turtles hibernate.

Anger-

Angrily refusing to even allow people to mention the word hibernation.

Bargaining-

Attempting to stop winter from coming so Tank can stay with her.

Grief-

Finally breaking down in tears at the thought of him having to say good-bye to him.

Acceptance-

Allowing Tank to hibernate knowing she will see him again in the Spring.

With the Turtles I can see four of the stages of grief being exhibited to just one of the Turtles.

Denial- All the Turtles have trouble believing that Splinter is gone. There will be comments that this is wrong it can't be this way.

Anger- Raph is most likely to visibly exhibit this about Splinter. Yelling much in the same manner he did in the season 2 finale.

Bargaining- Leo turning to Donnie and/or Fugitoid. Or maybe even April for her powers and asking if there is anything that could be done to save Splinter's life. Or if they can go back and save Splinter's life like they had in the past.

Grief-Exhibited by Mikey which can be used to help his other brothers and April though their grief process.

Acceptance-Exhibited by Donnie. Knowing Splinter may be gone, but he knew the risk he was running when he asked the Shredder to fight along side them. And he would expect them to carry on with their lives regardless of whether he is with them or not.

Great, now we are discussing (or making up) the intricate real-life allegories to death, etc. on a show about rainbow flying magic ponies with princess powers that is made for girls younger than the target age for a show about teenage ninja turtles that fight alien invasions of robots and dinosaurs and have a rat master, a sister/love-interest snake girl, and a alien-superpowered kunoichi friend, having regular fights with an armored ninja man with a responsibility complex from a 21st century ninja clan, who is also the adoptive father/kidnapper of said snake girl.

Spoiler:
the death of optimus prime?
they even changed the animated gijoe movie because of it.
Spoiler:
duke was suppose to die not go into a coma
makes you wonder if anythings going to be censored later on due to political correctness.

The guy narrating the video I posted also gives a quote from Wolverine regarding the feeling of depression over death of Captain America.

Wolverine: It's like someone shot a cannon ball right through your stomach leaving a great big hole. Eventually it starts to close up from the outside in...and one day it would be different. The load won't feel as heavy. Then you'll hear a song or somebody will laugh or the wind will blow the wrong way...and the hole will tear wide open again. Believe it or not it heals back faster each time. A death isn't like losing a job or getting divorced. You don't "Get over it." You have to integrate it into your life and live with it. But...Life does get better.

There are also clips from Up, Death of Dumbledore, the Death of Optimus Prime, Mickey's Christmas Carol (Death of Tiny Tim), Death of Mufasa set to a reciting of "Do not go gentle into that good night" by Dylan Thomas at the beginning of the video.

Even though Viacom’s now got TMNT, Laird still pumps the Mirage universe out from time to time, as slowly as he may go. In issue 10 vol. 4 it have appeared that Mirage Splinter had died of a heart attack. But it is revealed in issue 32 vol 4. http://peterlairdstmntblog.blogspot....l-edition.html the Splinter that died was not the Splinter that raised and trained the Turtles. It turned out that he had found a new home in the Battle Nexus in issue 31 vol. 4 http://peterlairdstmntblog.blogspot....lume-4-31.html

Silver-quill, the guy that made the video, had also use the example of how when Bambie's mom died and how the movie quickly move on to the singing of disney birds in the spring and pretty much skipping the beginning stages of grief altogether, which I can't help but feel that it's going to somewhat similar with TMNT. I am sure the death of Splinter would still mean something which in many case of disney movies, killing off parental figures turns the young protagonist into a underdog that has to go through life without feeling of security. That's the entire point of killing Splinter. To force them to grow up.

Hmm...I could kinda see it happening that way, too, Lucky- if not a tad different. We all gotta remember that this isn't a fan fiction. We're not going to see the boys break down and crumble completely or turn to insane bitter turtles...not yet and not in this iteration. But we will see regret and sadness, anger too. And surely they'll train harder, be better. (Which will be EPIC to see them get all badass on Shredder) But I don't think it'll go all back to normal or ray of sunshine. Yeah, they'll crack jokes, make puns and laugh- let's be real. But they'll understand just how serious now their training, their devotion and determination will be. And we will see them mature even more than we have over these 3 seasons. Becasue, my, have they grown- in stature, in maturity, in skill. Heck, even their voices sound more mature! I apologize for being long with this but I'm just beyond THRILLED for season 4!!

Maybe this just wishful thinking but maybe season 4 might be subtle allegory of them accepting death and that season 5 is them coping and try to learn with the change.

I'm mean think about it. Season four is about trying to find all of the pieces and thinking that it's going to fix everything including Splinter which a mix up of stages of denial/bargaining. People don't always go in a direct pattern of the stages of grief and somewhere in the middle of the space arc, Professor Honeycutt comes clean and admits that it won't bring back Splinter. Everybody feels betrayed and display the stage of angry by taking out their angry on him. When they decided to move on with getting the last piece, the last piece is practically impossible to get and it makes them give up, which could be a representation of depression, until Raph or someone encourage them to not give up or something. When they finally get all of the pieces, they get Earth back.

The subject of losing a love one doesn't have to be on nose and using some sort of symbolism can be a loophole without having to use any exposition or any explanation that they're in the grieving stages and at the same time if you're under the age of 11 or didn't know what happen in the season three final would have just thought that it was a "find all pieces" space adventure arc without a single thought.

I think thing could be the Turtles try to get the heart of darkness, they don't succeed and the triceraton's obtain the three pieces. The turtles realize they would have to go face the Triceraton's on their own turf, they find allies among the Triceraton's namely Traximus and Monzaram. They also have allies among the Salamandrion's such as Monalisa and Sal Commander (Mona since she's a love interest for Raph and Sal Commander because he commented that he could respect the Turtles as warriors in the clip we saw.)

The Turtles and their allies manage to over throw the Emperor of the Triceraton Empire. The Turtles beam down to Earth to stop the murder of Splinter while the fugitoid and everyone else uses the beam cannon from one of the Triceraton ships to destroy the heart of darkness so it can't be used by anyone again. The Turtles arrive in time to see Splinter murdered by the Shredder once more. The beam cannon goes off destroying the heart of darkness. The alternate time line Turtles disappear since their time line has been changed.
